New Locations Wishlist

I was thinking of all the places that were in FFXI Online and how amazing they were to explore and fall in love with. I know this game is not FFXI, but I wouldn't mind if they created new environments in the next expansion that are inspired by some of the past locations that were really cool/neat. Some that come to mind are the massive Goblin tunnels/mines, the crawlers nest (there were so many twists and turns), the old orc encampment that was basically a huge mountain. I also miss seeing the old crags that were scattered across the landscape. They were reminiscent of a long lost age were giants roamed the frontier lands. I really miss the exploration aspect of that game. What I miss most of all is getting lost in certain areas... Trying to find my way back out was just as daunting of a task as it was to go there and solo a specified mob for a quest. Granted it's not for everyone, but I would still love to hear feedback from the gamer community. Hopefully if we get enough feedback/likes SE will take it into consideration and possible re-introduce aspects of those old environments into later updates. Bare in mind that I am not complaining about the current environments by any means; I'm quite happy with them. I'm just trying to give SE some insight on possible new environments that have an old school feel to them.

- western Shroud with enemies all the way who can hurt you badly if you don't walk (not one-shot, maybe triple-shot.)
- southern Mor Dhonna
- Coethas western highlands
- Coerthas eastern highlands
- Coerthas central lowlands

I like everything you say here.

Add new high-level regions to La Noscea and Thanalan while they are at it.. and make them somewhat reminiscent of the 1.0 versions. There must have been some areas that Bahamut didnt' totally wreck.

Oh, and maybe some underground areas as well. (not dungeons)

it would be cool to see new places! Means new enemies(not instant death moves), new quests, new merchants and maybe new retainer stuff

Although some ppl will hate it, this game is in desperate need of labyrinth-ish areas in the open world, in other MMOs you see ppl complaining about those areas where you can get lost in no time, but those areas and complains makes things interesting.

Good idea Renik. They can get inspiration from Oblivion. And about getting lost, we have a mini-map to guide us.

I would love a Buburimu Peninsula or Valkurm Dunes.

Just let me go explore Garlean Empire captital, god damn it!

No to areas absolutely chock full of monsters that can kill me just by looking at me, yes to more zones to explore. I don't mind seeing more difficult monsters in these new zones, I just want to be able to still solo through them without being in all i110 gear.

I think they should open a realm of Nym up for a platforming section. Fall off the floating parts and you land back in Eorzea. Hmm.... maybe a housing ward there, too.

Okay I'm gonna state the locations I wanna see:

• a Clockwork spider nest, With XII's version of Mimics in all their variants (Including The Clockwork Bug of Turn 4, the awesomely-colored Bug and Thunderbug of XII's mines, The iPodish Mimeo, the contrasting Battery Mimic, and the rainbow and red Pandora)
• A Floating set of islands that are themed after the constellations (of Earth). Which would take cues from Heaven, Niflhel and the Atmosphere at the lowest and (if climbable like CT) Outer Space at the highest
• Also from XII the inside of a giant crystal ala Giruvegan, maybe a living entity like Sin from X.
• Garlemald. Surely it would be fun to travel to the enemy's country and see life from the other side (maybe be a for a story quest where Eorzea is at the climax of their war with the empire)
• Ishgard: Everyone wants to visit Ishgard :p
