I have a question on stoneskin as a Paladin
1) If the whm has just cast a fresh stoneskin on me, will the stoneskin that ai cast override the whm's?
2) If I had just cast a fresh stoneskin on myself, will the whm's stoneskin override mine?
3) If the whm had cast a stoneskin on me and this stoneskin had absorbed some damage such that the remaining damage that it can absorb is less than the damage that a fresh stoneskin cast by either me oe a whm, will a new stoneskin cast by me or the whm override the existing stoneskin?

The answer is always "whichever one is bigger is the one that stays".
WHM Stoneskin is 18% so it will generally override anyone elses' unless something plays around with your max hp between the two casts. If it's absorbed some damage, it depends entirely upon how much damage has been taken. -

SE really needs to get on the ball and make a different buff icon for Graniteskin, similar to how Protect and Proshell have different icons.

In 99.99% of the occasions, that means it's going to be Adloquium before Stoneskin, but there's that weird possibility that you sat there with Stoneskin for just shy of 30 mins before getting an Adloq that you have to consider. I would expect the same rule to apply to any new absorb shield mechanics they add.Quote:

You're pretty focused on this distinction you've thought up, and seem to be missing the point of a second icon for Graniteskin. It's a quality of life change. If the white mage were the only one that could cast that buff, then it wouldn't matter, but two classes can cast an inferior version, and sometimes the whm can't keep track of everything everyone is doing. And sometimes that extra 8% matters.

Not to mention, based on your logic, Virus and Venomous Bite should get new icons. Virus, cause its trait adds int and mnd enfeeblement, and VB cause of the Bloodletter proc.
