Congratulations on the kill. I also hate to turn this into another class unbalancing issue, but it does appear that almost all groups that have made it this far are very ranged oriented.
It must be all that skill ARC requires, sitting in the back performing action bar sweeps.
Lost my Linkshell recently, and it has been a pain getting in to parties. Seeing that all they want are Cons, Arcs, and Glas. Show some Lnc Love.
somebody sounds bitter..
If a melee has the means to be self sufficient or provide decent utility (able to heal self, Siphon TP etc, respectively) I don't see a reason to shun them. This coming from an ARC/THM.
All DD in the party had thne following Chainspell, Raise, Cure 3, Sac 3, even with that, standing close to Ogre or Batraal is like 1k dmg every 7 sec, there is no way to sustain for a long time, Mages curing them will only get more hate. Hate to admit i but its hard(possible) to do it with close range DD, we tried all set up, but the last set up we used was the good one, of course its a bit different from Ogre set up.
Hey man no matter how you did it, you did it. Grats on the kill.
Gratzzz! It was fun, isn't it ^^
Each person in our group had R50 melee's and archers and casters classes ranked up, we all opted to go with classes that would tax our heals the least. It wasn't about shunning ourselves, it was about what would be best for the clear. Having the abilities from all those others classes helped a ton in terms of keeping ourselves alive.
So what dropped??

You guys should be running the YG up-loader next time.

Gold Chest(Batraal) = 100% drop of Armour(1-2x), Blue Chest = random drop of Dark Matter or Armour.
Won't give away the strategy.. But I will give everyone a little hint that have not beaten it yet.
Hint: positioning and sharing certain abilities/spells
That's all you really need to know. The thing about these bosses is the fight itself isn't hard but one or two screw ups by a healer or tank can cost you a full wipe. Once you understand positioning it's pretty cake walk in my opinion as long as everyone is on top of their game.
Good Luck!
Daeva of War got him down on Istory tonight:

He whooped our asses! :p
And sadly, people want this dungeon nerfed already....
:[ Really hope Yoshi-P doesn't listen to them.
Can't we all just shut the hell up and congratulate the winners. (especially the ones on Istory ~.^)
Im not with magitek these days but the people in their ls are top notch nice guys and dub is great player. Fought alongside him for quite a few months. I know that dub wants a balance between the jobs for the betterment of the game and wouldn't take away from someone elses accomplishments.
Gratz on the win to those who did :)
