Personal Housing. :/

Just wanting to know if anyone has heard/read the pricing of it. Is it going to be ridiculously expensive like FC housing? I'm somewhat new to the game still, barely a month in, but from what I can see about housing is that the pricing is totally stupid. Completely. Utterly. Stupid. I've played hundreds of MMOs from F2p To P2p, and never have I seen a housing system this expensive. Ever. Seriously, who thought this was a good idea when developing this game? lol. I've gotten a character to 50, and another almost to 50, and the most I've made without spending hardly any of it, was around 700k. And that was from getting lucky with drops in dungeons and selling them off. No one in their right mind is going to pay for that crap.

If they do, they have WAY too much time on their hands. People are already paying for the game, and working outside of it. I just don't see how this was a good idea at all. I haven't met a person yet that comes home from work, and likes working more on something that was meant to be fun. Of course, all of this is my personal opinion, not to be taken seriously by people that have bought housing. To the people that have, hey grats, really. Won't see me doing it. Don't have that kind of time. I suppose for us working, casual players, we get the stinky end of the stick. Meh.

tl;dr: Pricing is horrible, it was a terrible idea, hopefully someone with a brain oversees the personal housing. Not everyone has millions of hours to dump into a game.

It is 300k, right? Just save your money. Do the roulettes, do the dailies, sell a map a day. Its really easy to make 50k a day without even trying. Less than a week is 300k.

300k? What game are you playing? The ones I saw were no cheaper than 4 million.

Those are Free Company (Guild Houses). You buy them as a group.

The only housing implemented atm is FC housing hence why it is so expensive. In 2.3 they are adding FC housing private rooms which are 300k.

Edit: and rumor has it in 2.35 Personal Housing will be added for your individual needs for housing.

I had 29million Gil a few weeks ago. If that makes you feel any better? ;P

On a serious note Yoshi-P has stated in a pervious interview that the average player has about 2million gil, and this was months ago. so Expect Personal Housing to be somewhere in the 2million to 7million range.

Unless things change Personal Housing is expected to hit in 2.35.

Again, not sure how FC personal rooms is a good idea. Say you buy one, deck it out with stuff, then leave or get kicked from the FC. There goes your room, your stuff, and the money you spent, lol. They will most likely have a plan for that, but I'm not sure. Not too excited about the idea of having something controlled by someone else. 300k isn't anything, I'll agree to that, and that is acceptable by all means. Though, everything revolving around a FC is kind of lame. What of people who do not wish to be in a FC? Personally, I don't really like many FCs. From my experience of them, they are full of jackasses. Of course not all of them are I'm sure, but the FC community from what I've seen is nothing to brag about. I don't know, suppose I'll wait and see what happens come 2.3.

You must have friends in FCs, find one you enjoy. Just because you find one bad egg, doesnt mean they are all bad. This is an MMO after all. if you dont want to socialize, go play a single player RPG.

Getting mad over Group only content in a MMO is just plain ridiculous.

So people that have the Gil to purchase houses have way too much time on their hands?
More than a tad insulting, more a case of some people knew to level crafting first before the bottom fell out the market
I can see it being about a million to buy personal housing, which to me is fine, it's not a gift it's a perk

This has been touched on in some of the interviews and live letters and most recent being the E3 session they just had this year. Personal housing is still a long way away. Most likely patch 3.0 Yoshi P stated he hopes it is ready by then. And personal houses price is not set in stone yet they are still working on it and thinking about it, as they keep stating "We won't know until it arrives, then we will see what to price it at." However he did say for people to think a long the lines that the price would be around 800,000G so start saving up for that much. However nobody knows what personal housing will be like most likely personal houses are going to be instanced houses like mog houses were in ffxi. talk to a npc and you go into your personal house.

I never stated I had found one "bad egg". I've been in around 10 FCs and they were all full of "holier than thou" jackasses. 10 out of 10 to a new player in less than a month speaks pretty loud in my book. So take that we're a big happy family bs somewhere else, lol. I don't mind group content, but everything revolving around it hardcore is lame. I don't play MMOs to make friends, I play them to occupy my mind, and if I pick up a friend or two on the way, well then alright, cool. Not the type to be like "Oh golly jee whiz, wanna be mah fwend?!" lol. Also, never did I state I was "mad", lmao. So many people wanna always play the "mad" card, or "umadbro?". F****n grow up, lol. xD
