error 2002 only on aether data center

As the title says i get error 2002 every time i try to connect to my home data center (Aether)...I dunno if its buggin out or if it crashed but I can connect to every other data center just fine...anybody else having this?

I am having same problem not just on pc but on ps4 as well i change data center n it works fine go back to aether to play and cant do anything

Seems this is happening to several other people but with other data centers...I know several people who can log onto Aether but not their data centers...Whatever is happening right now is very strange but widespread.

Just adding Hyperion/Primal. been an hour.

(maybe they messed something up when doing restriction change)?

Also I can get on every center EXCEPT Primal and Aether (NA)

I play on Faerie and Cactuar, and neither of them have X's at this point in time. So I dont think that factors into whats happening at the moment.

Im having this problem too on Coeurl (Aether data center) and looks like others have the same problem on reddit. Except i can connect to Primal for some reason >_>

Seems like its targeting people's main servers only... twisted bastard error code... grrr

Still can't get on...

My connection is poor to every data center except Chaos... No characters there though. If I try to go to Primal, I get a 2002 error. I can access all the others, but I get a 90000 error when I try to log in to my characters. :(

Having same issue with Primal data center.

I'm having this same issue myself. I've tried logging about 6 times now and still same error code. I've tried to connect to a different data center twice but could not do so either. Same 2002 when I attempt it.

Yay I can log in!!!! To japan data center and create a lovely new character -.- wtf!

I'm with you Burr Manchu. Hyperion and got kicked with 90k and been getting error 2002 for the past 3 hours.

Are any of you using comcast by any chance? Maybe it's from there side?

I'm having the same issue on Balmung since last night.

Error 2002 here as well. Seems there is a problem with the lobby server.

Edit: I was able to log into one of my characters in the Primal data center. It seems I am only having problems with Aether. Kind of weird since those two data centers are supposedly in the same location.

Also having same problem on PS4. Seems to be both NA server groups. Trying different ones till I get on.

update - so far the first listed JP server let me get on to create a character, but the next one down gave the same. All NA and EU servers refused to let me through.

Same here... can only log into the Japan server. NA and EU can't log in at all :(

Chiming in with another 2002 no-go here. It's a bummer, but at least I know it's not on my end. Lobby server hamsters fall out of their wheels, guys?

ETA: Can connect with the Japan data centers, no problem. Normally I'm ok with just rolling a new toon to noodle around on until the problem gets fixed, but I promised my FC I'd round up some mats for them. You wouldn't want to make a liar out of me, would you SE?

I am having this issue as well. Only I can't seem to even be able to log into JP servers either. From the look of things it has been going on for the past 6 hours and not a word from SE. My guess is since it's a holiday here in the states it will not be getting fixed anytime soon.

Got kicked out of Sargatanas(on PS4) last night about 1am CST with a 9k error and receive 2002 when trying to connect to the Aether data center ever since.


Edit: I was able to log in just now 9:30am CST

Updating my PC copy just to confirm two platforms are an issue. Not been able to use for a few hours now.

Same here on Siren. Guessing it has something to do with the Character Creation Restrictions today. Even though I'm not trying to create a new character....

Played another MMo for a while, came back and gave login another go, and va bene, I'm in.

I was also able to get in. Just signed in around an hour ago.
