Need Fireworks

In the spirit of American freedom and the 4th of July, I recall there being fireworks during celebrations in game in major cities. They use to do it in ffxi and in 1.0, I'd love to see fireworks in the major cities again on occasion during in game celebrations. I always enjoyed logging in and seeing the fireworks go off, people would /sit and watch them in game, taking a break from all their in game worries. Would anyone else like to see this again?

I am actually surprised a bit that there aren't any real fireworks outside of the GC themed sparklers. There should be some that launch up into the air and create magnificent explosions of color like real fireworks. I'm sure they can do it.

As someone who likes to carry around firework type items to use randomly or on purpose, I totally support this thread.

Speaking of 'Marica!, Someone on my server made this SPOT ON "Wonder Woman" outfit. I just had to take a picture! (Sorry about the size. It was ether this or "super grande sized.")

Sorry for the late response, I know some of you wanted to celebrate your patriotism by blowing stuff up on July 4th.

During the upcoming summer seasonal event, we are planning to sell the fireworks from last year’s Moonfire Faire once again. We’ll be releasing more information on Lodestone shortly, so please stay tuned!

By the way, we’d like to continue to add new, fun fireworks to the game, so if you have any cool ideas for something you’d like to see, please feel free to suggest them!

There actually was a special Summer event track that played in each city during the summer event Moonfire Faire in version 1.0, it was simply called Moonfire Faire by Nobuo Uematsu, and it's available as track number 52 on the Before Meteor soundtrack album.

Unfortunately last year the summer event was kind of a rushed affair due to the launch of the game taking place at the end of August, hence there was only a sped up version of the Costa del Sol theme used during the Moonfire Faire FATEs (called Ruby Moonrise by Masayoshi Soken), so I'm hoping Moonfire Faire properly returns as the background music this year. :)

I'm not american but I want fireworks too. Gimmy gimmy gimmy!

You know what would be really fun to see? Fireworks mixed with magical aether to simulate living creatures! Imagine, a firework that takes on the form of bahamut and lets out a mighty roar before exploding. Or maybe even a firework that takes on the form of a charging boar that travels a few feet before discipating. Those kinds of fireworks would be quite interesting to behold! I can see Ul'dah's Thaumaturge guild coming up with that sort of stuff!

Honestly, a great place for inspiration would be any the fireworks from Final Fantasy 11. Some are cute, some are cleaver and some are just plain weird (in a good way.) Any of those fireworks would be awesome!

I miss the goldfish scooping also. It was my favorite festival in game. Had all those mini-games, fireworks, gear, and the music was awesome.

Fireworks creation in the hands of the player is a phenomenal thing. If I could have one thing, it would be that crafters can make at least the majority of fireworks.

Stuff like the Grand Company signal flares and the newspaper insignia can remain exclusive or event/quest rewards, though. No sense giving the players access to everything special, or else it loses its meaning.

1.0 players said they got summer Yukata's, can we get those in XIV too please? :)

I remember in ffxi, just outside the starter cities they literally had fireworks that shot up into the night sky and you could here them explode. Would be nice if they made fireworks actually light up the night sky in ffxiv.

I would love to look out at the water in limsa and see fireworks shoot up from a boat out in the water, and several other places in the world.

Hey, I know apparently the vast majority of people must not watch the Live Letter when it first is... live.., but they are bringing the Yukatas back. Don't know if it's the same Yukata or a new one, but they showed 1 off, I remember it being black, red and white.

Should be with this years Summer event. I think they said it was going to be in August.

I really miss a certain firework that would say "Congratulations" as it exploded, nothing fancy and right in front, so everyone can see!

Also I also congratulate so it would be nice to have my macro back for that firework. (This firework never existed in FFXIV)

They have prices in gil, most set at 59 (click on each to see). The furniture is more expensive at 17,000 - 27,000 gil each. Of course, all of this is subject to change - this is just what was datamined from the patch data by xivdb. It could be placeholder data, or they could totally change their minds. I'm not even sure we're supposed to be seeing this, but it was in xivdb, so *shrug*

Carbuncle burst fireworks! A big Carby that explodes into a shower of smaller Carbies, that then explode into even smaller Carbies, that hop & scatter away.

Personal Fireworks are fun, but what about the BIG "commercial" fireworks that were set off around each City-State? Much like the Celestial Nights event in FFXI!
