Do you think this is a reason to report?

So me a tank a healer and a summoner were doing a brayfox run and the tank pulls everything to the point were you need to grab the key and ends up dying so i start running away and end up dead then the healer who ran with me. well you can read the rest https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-a...77064624_n.jpg i did not cuss or anything like that as one can see so is this grounds to report mind you i was waiting all most 40min to get in:mad:

As a fellow dps who tends to have to wait 15+ minutes just to get into a dungeon I would be outright furious. You were basically dismissed for not being good enough to stay in the party which is in essence, abuse of the vote kick.

You DO have grounds for reporting, kicking someone for "Not being good enough" is an abuse. That said, I don't know how much it will do or if it is worth it. Personally I think you handled it a tad wrong yourself (you seemingly came off a bit aggressive to me). Maybe requesting he do smaller pulls would've been better. I run this as healer often, and tanks just kind of auto-pilot, and MOST are pretty understanding when you request they slow down a bit for you.

THAT SAID, kicking you was an abuse of the rules, and he kicked you over a pretty minor argument. Sounds like everyone was just having a bad day to me :P

Indeed. I suppose they could claim they justified the kick because of harassment, but to me, it seemed to come from a good place. In reverse however, it didn't.

Why do people play this game if they're going to be horrible like this? I don't get it. It's a GAME for the love of God it's supposed to be fun and it feels like a good amount of people just don't treat it like that.

More seriously, they may have dismissed you for harassment, and it's OK for a GM as you were being a little rude to them.

Sure they overreacted, sure that kick was borderline. But it's not an abuse. :/

Who says they've been kicked for "not enough dps" over "being rude" ?

Also, be careful, you post implies that a tank "not tanking enough" is fine to be kicked because he has insta queue anyway. It's not fine either

As a dps who wait longer then tanks is not fine to be kicked for not dps enough , there is different between being rude and being an a****l , thats is is abusing for vote kick system , should be reported.

Iwas talking about the OP situation , since the tank and the other party member was next to him which mean they we df as a party , tanks ge insta Queue when dps arnt , maybe I didnt say it clear but being just rude or low dps dosnt give you the right to kick someone specialy a dps who thier queue average time is +15 .

I agree i did come off a bit rude but only after he got mad over me pulling the monsters away acting as if i made us wipe he / the other dps were all ready dead when i did so :P and my dps was not low not in my book but yea i'm just brushing this off as what can i do. Ty all

It's toxic behavior, being kicked for that does make sense, I think if you had read over what they said the tank/healer are pretty much playing next to one another so they didn't need to vocalize what they were doing but as a DD if you have never healed or tanked in brayflox you should try to be more aware of how easily things can get out of control.

No matter how good someone is you can't expect everything to always go 100% the way all the time and to complain about the situation rather than just buck up and try again is what caused your dismissal, you should try better to understand that sometimes things do just turn out bad and you try again and not assume the worse when something goes bad the first time.


No matter how good a group might be, extra critical hits, an unlucky AOE strike, paralysis at an awful time, slight lag, there are variables that can mess up the flow of even the best teams. Next time I'd recommend that if you find yourself in a situation where a group wipes rather than assume the worse or question ones abilities you give them the benefit of the doubt and try again without instigating a fight over the situation.

You could probably report them, if the tank dies on a Brayflox pull it's typically a healer or a tank issue. If the tank died because the mobs didn't go down fast enough, then that's a different story, and maybe there is an issue with DPS. Still, pulling the entire first section in a DF group is a sure fire way to have things end up in tears fairly regularly.

You can report or get a thicker skin and improve your dps lol

2 options, no wrong route.

I had a similar issue yesterday. Tank wanted to pull everything with a Drg who had full AF, lvl49 accessories and ONE i90 accessory + an i70 MNK. I said "Don't do a big pull or I won't heal" - I healed anyway because it wouldn't be fair to let the DPS die too and we made it through the first pull but then after the first boss, I restated I wouldn't heal and he'd die but the tank pulled anyway. He died during that pull (not my fault he didn't use a single cooldown) but only the tank and we killed everything and I got vote kicked.

I reported the jerk.

Honestly she seemed a lot more rude and sarcastic than you were.
She got her cronies to vote kick you too.

A GM will just say something along following lines

SE won't interfere for arguments withing parties that lead to the dismissal of one of the members.

And really, you get overly defensive in this, and pointing out something along how you did with the healer, well it would annoy me too.

Everything is report-able.

Up to GMs to take you seriously.

Nothing was really said/done that would result in punishment if you reported it. That being said, them communicating in person, enacting their own plan and expecting you to know it and fill a role in it was unreasonable for sure.

The downside to typing messages in boxes as opposed to voice chat is there is no tone of voice, for example "can you slow it down please" could either be read as a request in a suitable tone, or a sarcastic tone, or an angry tone, depending on who is reading it. The person who reads it may not read it in the tone you are typing it in. If I ask anything I normally put lol at the end or smile, that way it hopefully gets read in the tone of voice I would use if I were using voice chat, not aggressive, not whiny, just a polite request. It doesn't work 100% but most people will get the gist.

I'm guilty of doing speed pulls in Brayflax(HM) I quickly look at my healers gear and if its over certain level will go for the SR. If things go wrong (rarely happens) ill take the blame, I decided to pull that many without saying so in Duty finder. If you have a run with lower dps or lack the aoe its the tanks job to adjust the pace, so he/she is at fault. You running away when the tank died is a fight or flight response( most the trash resets anyway when its a wipe).

I got kicked recently from a lost city run because pulling 3 packs of trash at a time still wasn't fast. The group started rushing ahead or luring trash back on to me (keep in mind i already have at least 2 packs on me). When i stopped moving to recover myself and my Mp/TP. I got abuse so i carried on knowing i did not have enough mana to do the kind of pulls the whm wanted and of course 1 or 2 mobs did not stay on me. i got abuse for this and just said you can either kick me or follow my lead not yours. (I was glad to get the hell out of that run to be honest)

personally i don't think you came off as rude, the tank did not accept that it was their mistake and became defensive. You could report him for kicking you for harassment since he kicked you after the low dps comment but i don't think its worth it

Its hard to read, OP use dark color and background is a bit dark or bad resolution

I would ... 2 reasons:

1. Abuse of the kick system, which is obvious
2. Game exploit (1st pull, 2nd - obtain item, party wipe - end result - win) - sounds like a win-trade to me.

camate has said player dispute in terms of battle strat isnt something that involves them, and they will stay out of it, its from the spirit bonding thread, this is a simple case of player dispute, they havent actually done anything of abuse, they havent named called you or mentioned something offensive, they simply didnt like what you contributed to the battle strat.

What strategy the tank made a call and went for SR, the Group wasn't able to handle it or a random variable caused a wipe. It happens, 99% of the time the default blame is on me and any other tanks who try to SR without asking 1st. I take the blame apologize if needed and move on to still do a fast run. Even if it is due to lets say a Black Mage not aoeing properly/low dps i just re assure then group (if needed) and move on.

If i get a group who can speed run all of bray great. If they cant i carry on its not just me on the party.

More than enough reason to report it.
