What happens to someone belonging if they have a personal room and they are kicked from the FC?
I believe you must vacate room in order to be discharged from fc.
I think lol.. ?
That's a very interesting question...I'd imagine they wouldn't be able to kick them..but then what is to stop trolls from being well...trolls?
Ya if the design is " you can't kick so and so because he/she has a fc room" makes less sense then they lose everything. You have a guy that harasses the fc, but he bought a room, the fc decides he must go. So everyone else must vacate and leave the fc because the fc cant expel the individual. Then you have the instance of guy likes the fc and majority like him but one officer is a troll and decides to kick the person, would the person lose everything?
Now my personal solution to this conundrum is the individuals private room will be saved but put into stasis and cant be used until he gets into another fc that has a house. So he doesnt lose his stuff but can still come and go/kick from a fc with little reprocussion to both the fc and the individual.
I'm not sure how they said it in english but in german it says that you cannot leave the fc before vacating the room. TThey say it in a way that makes it seem like it is just about leaving yourself not beeing kicked out (of course that is an Interpretation but from how they wrote it the other way seems a lot less likely)
Good question.
I'm guessing their stuff would just be returned to their inventory, considering they have the space. However, if you can't kick a member for whatever reason, because they have not vacated their room, that will be a problem.
You see if you get kicked from an FC a moogle will go into your room collect your items and move it to your new room once you get one >_>.
Would this have to become a FC privilege?
I think you will still be able to be kicked.
The problem I see kicking / being kicked and losing all you collected items.
I would have a problem kicking someone from a FC if I am then costing them 300k gil and all items.
Where there is a class of player that would do it just because it cost people 300k and all there items.
Weather it's a troll, someone that doesn't like you or just emotionally kick you. I've seen all happen in FFXI over the years and then the next day you are back in.
i think the "room data" is link with your "character" not FC (since everyone hav 1 room)

Please Stop posting in this thread as there is already one on this topic my search never found.
I can't imagine any good solution to this...
If you can't kick the player while they have a room, then FCs will be unable to kick members who deserve it.
If you can kick the player while they have a room, players will be at risk of losing 300k if their FC kicks them for an unjustified reason.
If you can be kicked and keep your room, then players leaving an FC will instead ask to be kicked so that they can save 300k.
No good solution???
I was skeptical at first, about how the housing system works in this game. Normally my inclination would be "hey I should have my own house" etc. However after joining a FC that I really quite like, the house is so active, that giving up some control for that is worth it. It's really a much nicer environment than having a series of individual houses that nobody else will actually ever visit.
That said, it's imperative that ones own items placed in their room is not lost upon getting kicked. I would love to have a room, but I'm not going to do it if there is a chance of loosing everything at the whim of another. At the same time we cannot have a situation where a troll cannot be kicked just because they have a room.
If that's not the way it works, SE is just inviting tons of problems that everyone who has ever played any other multiplayer game is well aware of. Do not release the system without those features, delay it if need be, it's that important.

This could be implemented by either mailing you all the items your room had, or a separate tab, a package, or maintaining your room as an instance which could be instantiated at another fc.
