Pets' spell speed unaffected by Spell Speed gear and the trait "Enhanced Pet Actions"

So I just found out while googling regarding pet's spell speed.

So if it is a bug. this should be fixed ASAP please SE T_T.

I bet SE already aware of this

I believe 2.3 "classes/jobs balance" will sort this out

Would loved to see Pet 2.4s speed spell cast instead of fixed 3s, that result in higher DPS

Garuda's Spell speed is my biggest beef with her. I have to spam the Contagion button sometimes because she just won't listen depending on where she is at in her spell casting. A higher spell speed would *hopefully* make this more convenient on at least getting her to listen.

A good way to bypass this is to put Obey, Guard, and Contagion on your macro bar. Then keep her close to you and set to her guard in advance and cast Contagion. If she's too far away she won't do anything until she reaches you first. It's a hassle but it's the most efficient way atm.

That seems really odd. I mean, you guys must already be aware that Skill Speed and Spell Speed suck for every class that isn't BLM or a Healer. I mean, it usually takes, what, twice the SS to make the same impact as crit/det? Y'all have this entire stat that almost no one wants, and you seem okay with that. I'm curious what it's like to design a piece of gear that you can be fairly certain no one will ever actively seek out. . .

I didn't check in 2.3 but in 2.2 spell speed affected garuda spells but didn't work with ifrit skills. To enhance ifrit speed skill you needed to use equipment with materia with skill speed(not spell speed). I think this is wrong design.

Up to me one of the worst things is that the +20% Spellspeed buff that Selene cast doesn't affect her embrace.... xD

has been put under "Forum Top ==> English Forums ==> Bug Reports ==> Accepted Bugs" category?? So this mean it should be moved to "Not a bug" then?

Yes, please remove that from the Bug section if SS is now working as intended for pets. (The stat and buff used to work on pets and as such, used to show up in the tool tips as effecting CDs on some of their skills)
If that's the case, SS is completely useless for Summoner. Even if we had 100% up time of the Enhanced Pet buff it would be less useful than Det/Crit. As a Summoner I would rather have Enhanced Actions increase my heal potency than Spell Speed.

So a whole stats has no affect on pets at all????!?!?!?!?!??? what in the world, please tell me this is oversight? if spell speed does not increase the speed of pets then it should be removed from summoners gear all together. this would actually be a negative stat since in 100% of situations it will lower your dps.

Yeah, this secondary proc system for Summoner needs to be looked at if this is the case. It pretty much removes any Synergy between Summoner and Pet. Why Buff a useless stat, that you wont gear for, because it doesn't effect the Pet.

Im confused then, its been accepted as a bug yet its working correctly?
