Why do peaple only form statics for coil and not primals?

I'm one of those that are currently learning tex, and always join pf groups. Having trouble like everyone else. I even tried putting Post-heart learning pt on pf, and we cant even get past the heart phase, or even to it.

On pf I always notice people either looking for coil statics or feeling roles for current ones. Even on the server forumns, all I ever see is fc's looking for members or coil groups forming. I seriously don't remember anyone ever forming static groups for primals.

Do people just not care that much about primals in this game? Seems strange when so many people are stuck on a primal and they don't ever form statics to progress together like they do with coil.

You don't need statics for primals. I did every Ex primal through duty finder.

People run primals with their coil statics too. It's just the reason why you don't see them. Moreover, coil uses statics due to gear assurance. Running with random people, there are no loot rules (and of course you only get one shot per week).

I did primals through df too.

Reason being with 2.3 the requirement to clear Garuda, Titan and Ifrit extreme will no longer be needed for access to Levi and Moggle extremes.

Albeit I see a new round of problems with Levi extreme due to the accuracy requirement for it when it becomes open. Unless SE start adding accuracy requirements to content which requires, will be a constant thing. One problem isprior to Coil accuracy is not a requirement, Then you get content which requires a minimum certain level of it to be effective in.

There used to be static farm primal EX when its fresh release

No lockouts = no need for a static. Simple as that.

Got some people on and free on the FC? Oh hey, we could go run some primals.

Primals are generally designed to be done by a decently skilled pick up group. So far, they're not intended to be harsh gear checks or absolute endgame difficulty. Given that Coil is intended for that, you generally don't want to bring in people that you don't know can work as a team. Kill records mean little if they were the least helpful of their previous kills by a long shot.

I think primals should give out better gear than what they do currently, many people who have Second Coil gear cannot even do Moggle Mog...

As many have already stated. People don't form static groups for primals mostly because those who want static groups are typically already in a static group for coil/progression content. Many static groups started working on this content as soon as it was released.

Unfortunately for those with less free time or not on the cutting edge of new content, it often means that content without lockouts that don't require a huge amount of skill are going to be mostly pug based.

I would recommend that you try and build your own static group. A group of players with similar skill/play-style as yourself and begin working on the content. Perhaps set aside 1 day a week for primals and 2 days for coil progression?

Lastly, one thing I've noticed with learning groups...if you say your learning phase C then many of your recruits will be players who are working on phase B in an attempt to get to the next level. Not much you can do about it except for setting harsher restrictions on people your recruiting.

My FC do static for Coil, but as we're all really chatty and such, we can just ask in the FC Chat if anyone's up for a Primal. A few minutes later and we're always ready to go. :D

People don't seem to understand what a static is. You can do anything with a static group of players...

Yeah. I do primals with my static. There's also static primal selling groups. Lots of them tbh.

it reduces any extraneous variable that cannot be foreseen i.e low dps, bad heals, tank aggro issues, etc. In a static you know what you're getting into and it allows for a much more smoother process. Also you don't have to fight for loot which is the big bonus of statics. Sure you can put up a pf and "hope" people have the morality to follow rules but that's an entirely different debate.

Some players might have sold off their account.

I have met a Bard who has T6 and T7 gears who can't do Copperbell HM.
