Getting tired of this certain player Harassment

The story of it is: Was doing a levi ex farm with a few people I know and this guy(not sure if i can post his ign here but we'll call him EA) joins. I was a mnk and was trying to get my mnk fist since I had somewhat average experience in Levi ex. Everything was going fine till he started to point out that I was a shitty player because I wasnt doing high enough damage or using the wrong move on the wrong spot. I mean, i do rarely do something to make someone angry, but EA just have to go over the line. EA was being a dick about what I'm doing and instead of being helpful and giving tips out. He started by blaming things on me. After 1 run, i decide to Blacklist him and hope to never see the guy again. After awhile, Now that we had come across each other again, EA decide to take shit about me again when we were going through Brayflox HM for a speed run. Like come on, I never did anything to the guy and he still wont stop talking shit.

The easiest way to deal with this harassment is to just /Blacklist him. Youll never have to worry about hearing from him again. and you can always warn groups if you find him again. Feeding him will only increase the size of the fire.

One problem is that you only blacklisted him. If you Reported him as well then he could have suffered the consequences down the road

They did blacklist. Blacklist doesn't work in duties however which is where the second harassment case happened

As to the OP, at this point I would report him.

Report him. He has no business harrasing you like that. especially in other pts.

contact a GM ingame if possible have a friend with you taking Screenshots of what he is saying. and also if he is calling you out on a damage and how shitty it is.. im not 100% on this but he MAYBE using a parser of some kinda try reporting him on that and he will definately have a bad day. when hes banned

I did reported the guy, just waiting for a reply soon.

Hopefully it doesnt continue and that I might have to transfer to a new server :(

Had someone tell my monk friend she had down syndrome recently. The reason: she didn't LB in time to prevent the final boss of Brayflox hard mode from doing one more pattern. The guy was a total jerk the whole DUTY FINDER queued instance, pulling extra mobs as a blm forcing a speed run, nearly causing two wipes. Sadly, the insanely long timer on votekick meant I we couldn't get rid of him that way either (had a lot of people afk without warning yesterday too)

We reported him and moved on. It's unlikely much will come of it, but I assume if one account gets enough complaints, something will happen eventually.

If it makes you feel better, Leviathan Ex is a pretty cruddy fight for a MNK if the other DPS aren't helping push phases. Everytime Leviathan jumps, apart when spumes are up, you're losing your GL stacks which is a huge dps loss.

As others have said, if that person keeps pestering you or slinging your name through the mud, report them.

Here's what I'd recommend doing in that situation, if it appears that they didn't queue into the dungeon with the other two party members (even if you used roulette the rest might not have). Pretend that you don't know/remember them from before and try to phrase things in a way that makes everything they say look that much worse. Like if they criticize the way you're playing say "I'm really trying to improve and I'm always open to advice and suggestions, I just don't see why you have to be so mean about it I'm doing my best." That kind of thing, you don't want to overplay it, but you can be nice without being sincere if your end game is to have this backfire on them. And if they keep it up just do like a :( or :'( or whatever and leave it at that and keep playing till you get to the point where you can vote dismiss them for harassment. If it passes and the other two players are obviously on your side, you've now potentially got two other people to report them (or even better, up to six if a Full Party) and it wouldn't hurt to ask them to do so. They don't need the whole backstory if what was said in party chat alone was enough to speak for itself. And I would be 100 percent honest in the GM report and say "This is a player who was abusive to me in the past and I thought if I could just pretend I didn't remember them they'd leave me alone and we could finish the dungeon and go our separate ways but they persisted in...".

A lot of abusive people are seeking a form of control over other people (you even mentioned thinking of changing servers- why should you have to give up your own friends and home?) so by orchestrating things so that what's said in party chat paints a picture of an aggressive player preying on the vulnerable (which you'd only need to pretend to be to further your own interests), you'd ultimately be taking control of the situation and could better use it to your advantage against them.

BTW you might know this already, but changing worlds won't prevent the possibility of queueing with this person, only data centers which really limits your options; perhaps that's what you meant. But that's not something you should have to do anyway.
