What is the absolute best opener for summoner?

For solo target, like a coil fight basically. Taking into account having to run up to use miasma 2, precasting something while the tank runs in, avoiding all gcd down time. If relevant, I'll be using raging strikes and an x-potion. I don't know the order to do all the things like rouse, spur, contagion, enkindle, fester/energry drains. Advice pls.

There are really no rotation for SMN, only skill priority and what should be done when a counter reaches that digit.

1. Time RS with contagion so that you get the boosted version of Dots longer.
2. Time Fester with RS, maximum of two Fester can be used per RS duration.
3. Use miasma II only when contagion is available.
4. Ensure fester/ energy drain used 5-10 sec before Aetherflow is ready. Keep at least 1 stack of Aetherflow until Aetherflow is ready to be casted again at all time during engagement, you might not know when you will need that burst from Fester or Bane.
5. Ensure Shadow flare is always casted. Use Swiftcast for this whenever possible.
6. Re-cast Dots when they are left with 4 sec duration.
7. Time Rouse + Spur for enkindle and after first use, use rouse and spur whenever available.
8. Use Ruin as filler, Ruin II sparingly when you are moving as it drains your mana very quick.
9. Whenever possible/comfortable to go melee (Alot of coil boss allows/requires you to be at melee range), use auto attack on the boss, it contributes a slight boost in DPS.
10. Fester > Energy Drain. Always consider Fester before Energy Drain.

Best opener will be Spur + Rouse + Enkindle as alway

Do it everytime when you want to open hard hitter

then follow by standard of RS + 3 DOTs + SC + SF + FESTER and so on

If Enkindle CD, just Spur + Rouse before you start fight, put on Shadow Flare before fight if you can

On a pull, RS Xpot DOTs, miasma2 while running in and ruin 2 when possible until you stop, weave in festers when available,
All pet CDs Enkindle,
contagion when its up, dont necessarily wait for RS or Pot cd unless its only going to be a few secs.

Aim to keep aetherflows rotating, and pet CDs on CD.

Also, you can use ruin, ruin II fester as first hit, might just be a ps4 thing but makes use of the time .

Xpot -> RS -> Bio2 (during tank run in) -> Miasma -> Bio -> Contagion (spam this just before bio) -> Fester (while running in) -> Miasma 2 (while right clicking boss for auto attack) - > SC (ogcd) -> SF -> Rouse (ogcd) -> Ruin 2 -> Spur (ogcd) -> Ruin 2 -> Fester (Rs should have have 1 sec left)

This seems fine for the most part except for the Misama II AFTER contagion. What's the point? Miasma 2 does 75 potency when not contagioned so is less than a ruin or ruin 2. It only does more damage than ruin with contagion adding on 50 more potency to make it 125 potency. You might as well replace miasma 2 with ruin 2 in your rotation, or change the contagion to after miasma 2 not before it.

Yes because with contagion 125 potency is less than 80 potency of ruin, so yea it's totally not a dps increase. /sarcasm

Whether it's worth the mana for a small dps increase every minute is up to you really but it does increase your dps ever so slightly every time you contagion it. Over the course of a 10 minute fight it puts you 450 potency ahead of someone using ruin in its place.

Miasma II for me is not worth UNLESS you fight 3 mobs +

MP consumption make its worthless if only 1-2 mobs there EVEN CONTAGION ON

and its not DPS increase at all, believe it or not

Ah thank you for pointing it out! I guess you could slot in M2 after contagion then. xpot with RS with contagion M2 should do more than a R2 I think?

Basically sums it up

I do:

RS -> B2 M B -> Rouse -> Fester -> M2 Contagion -> SC SF -> Spur R2 Enkindle Fester -> Ruin etc Fester when up.

Add in Potions and/or Poison Pots where applicable.

I think you can actually do a bit more single target damage if you start off with

B M B2 because Raging Strikes is 20 seconds and Bio is 18. So you can toss on another Bio before RS ends and then Contagion everything. So can get 17 ticks of Bio with an extra 20% damage instead of just 11 for an extra 288 Potency (essentially an extra Fester)

My opener is Spur => rouse => RS => Bio 2 => miasma 1 => Bio(fester) => SC + SF => (poison pot (Miasma 2**)*)=> ruin 1 => Ruin 2 (fester) . thinking about incorporating x potions along the line.

Also I use Enkindle on the second time I have both Spur and Rouse up. I don't wanna risk accidentally pulling off the tank with a straight up 1.8k crit from Garuda
