implement a Hard/Extreme Gaius Van Baelsar fight

I know that Ultima Weapon and Lahabrea were the two big baddies from praetorium but I feel like we were kinda of lead on to this climatic battle with Gaius since his introduction in 1.0 as being the antagonist for 2.0 only to have him be essentially a mini-boss on an elevator. :/ Nael got this epic treatment and not one but 3-4 different fights (I lose count) whilst Gaius got swept under the carpet. I just feel like the short fight that I got to have could be built on so much and really made into something enjoyable. Devs, Please think about this! Even if it's just a back burner project it would be really nice to get to have these epic battles like the minstrel tale of ultima HM. Its not out of the question unless Gaius is still alive and you have something in store for us for a future patch/expansion right? :P

Lahabrea was forgettable, in my opinion at least. ^^; But anyway, I don't believe Gaius is dead...no body, no evidence. Last we saw him he was looking at an exploding Praetorium, who's to say he didn't make a run for it? As a prominent figure he's no good to his country dead so I'd bet gil on it. Sometime in the future I think he will make a return, maybe multiple returns, so eventually we will probably have to put him down for good. When/if that happens I could see there being a HM/Ex version implemented not long after a "final" encounter.

I'm not convinced Gaius is dead.

I'm fully expecting a plot twist where Gaius is alive and decides to help us against the Ascians (while continuing to say he intends to "free" Eorzea).

I'd like an Empire Suit like Gaius or his Legatus...you know, just putting that out there.

Posted in another thread that I would love to see an endgame raid version of Praetorium added, difficulty of SCoB with new armor designs based off the protaganists armor.

But Praetorium is still my favorite dungeon, the music, the ambience and it feels the most Final Fantasy of them all to me. Really hope that it isn't the last we see of them and tougher end game content comes out based around the Garleans, as from 1.0 they always seemed THE enemy. Would be disapointing if they pretty much ended already.

Less primals more Garleans! XD

I'm sure there are long term plans for Gaius and the garleans without needing to ask, it's just a plot thread that is developing very slowly while we focus on the primal threat, ishgard, bahamut, nero and other stuff for now. Gaius and Lahabrea deserve more and I figure we'll get it at some point.

I feel like Lahabrea's fight was meant to be MUCH more epic, but was cut for some reason. The song for fighting him (and so far, only him), "The Corpse Hall", is an impressive 10 minutes and 50 second long...while the fight itself is probably 2 minutes.

I'm sure we'll see a return of the song for fighting the other Ascians...but still, it's odd and somewhat disappointing.

What's really funny is that when I took a friend through pretorium and let him watch all the CSes. Someone got impatient and prompted lahabrea to fight and we downed him before he could finish watching the CS.

So he thought the whole Lahabrea show was just a CS fight with no interactive battle.

Lahabrea felt like Yu Yevon all over again.

My guess is in the expansion that's when we'll face Lahabrea again and then Elbius and then probably Zodiark.

I do believe a Minstrel's Ballad where we fight all generals at once is in the making.
