Question about DoL/Doh

First I'd like to apologize for the title, I could not think of anything that wasn't long-winded or stupid.

Having gotten that out of the way I am curious if there are plans to add any real content to the crafting and gathering classes? I used to play Miner and Botanist exclusively, but have quit FFXIV altogether months ago.

I still pop onto the forums and check other XIV related sites from time to time hoping for fantastic news about the classes I enjoy, but there is always a lack. Please, I sort of want to start giving you my money again SE but need a reason to.

Hopefully there are others out there that share my wants, if so speak up.

Crafting gets it's own beast tribe daily race soon, ixali.they said not in 2.3 but mid patch so four weeks after?
You can also get new crafting / gathering main hands, and hats now too all Ilvl 70
Along with master recipe books and in 2.3 the ability to make new version of primal weapons

Ixali best tribe quests won't be for DoH classes. They will involve crafting items, but they won't require you to level up a crafting class.

Never said it was exclusive craft, it was just said is based around crafting , didn't yoshi also say you don't need to level crafting for it, but it helps?
Still wondering if goblin will end up be gathering as they said they had big plans for goblin and their well known gatherers

any news on the rank 4 mounts? I want know before hand if I wanna waste my time getting the hot air balloon or this new stuff.

Isn't ixali the wolf mount? Or was that just people saying they thing it is

I'm sure there is also a mount waiting if you did all beast tribes

Maybe the Ixal quests and the Goblin quests are preparations for a new defence content (I hope Ishgard defence)

Could be a way to bring back a hamlet defence style event from 1.0 just transferred over to tribes, really hope their is a mount for all, only got sylph left now and that's purely cuz I hate their dailies lol

Desynth is coming for DoH's in a couple of weeks too. Breaking down items for a chance at rare materials to make new rare items.

New furniture is coming, meaning more stuff to gather and craft!

Does gardening use BTN or anything? I've never done it myself aside from watering a few random strangers' dead looking plants.

In order to gather soil and seeds you'll need a BTN and a MNR. Unless you want to buy everything off the MB, then no.

You can gather seeds via botany, or a botany retainer and the soils are from mining, also from miner retainers too
Most seeds are worthless though except top tier ones like glaze nut
