New CT Gear Sets.

These look amazing I cant wait to spend my hours getting them

Predictions L to R: MNK, HEALERS, DRG, BRD (CLEARLY), CASTERS, TANKS

Isn't the far right one more blue? If so, I'd say that's the goon set and the taru is the tank.

It's hard to tell. They look near identical and are on two different races.

the 2 "similar" looking sets are probably for melee dps.
the tank is probably the roe set. white is healer, purple is caster and the fabulous hat is obviously bard.

About 99% sure far left is tanks. Not only are there two of the same sets (far right and the lala in the middle) which indicate a set shared between two classes, perhaps a minor difference but can't tell cause yay Lalas. Also since healers are next I guess they decided to go with "super duper important roles first yo" and then the DPS.

I agree with this. I think the set on the Roe is a little too bulky for a Monk. Plus, why would the DRG and tank sets look so much alike? They're practically identical.

ETA: I would laugh really hard if in the end we learn that the obvious bard outfit is for healers or something. Or maybe that's the monk outfit!

Frankly, none of this gear looks like something a MNK should equip.

I honestly don't like the way they look, could just be my taste but I think they are all ugly

The middle and the far right ones look like a take off of the gear the Warriors of Darkness wear, which would contrast with the Warrior of Light stuff you get from the Labyrinth of the Ancients.

Sadly no that's incorrect, they are all bosses of the crystal tower. The Boss the Monk/Dragoon(middle) and Dragoon/Monk(Far right) are representing is called " Guardian"

I wonder what the healer and caster sets look like on males, though. The original CT robes were mostly unisex but those look like they are gendered.

So it's likely tank with monk and goon sharing gear-model (paint difference)...

Yeah, I realized my mistake after looking at the concept art you posted. The WoD gear does look somewhat similar to the Guardian's in FFIII (with different color schemes), but it's clear what it's supposed to be to me now. My bad.

They look great! I wonder as well how the male healer version will differ.

Damn I wish I could glamor the Amon outfit for my WHM.

Definitely not Dragoon, at least. This screenshot from the trailer shows a DRG with an Allagan Spear wearing the middle or far right one.

Not that monk and goon share gear model with tank. Maybe bad wording.

Oh I am pleased with the way these are assigned then. There will be some cool looking acheron tanks around -- me included when I can eventually get all of the drops after many weeks :/

I think the Acheron set looks to be more a MNK/NIN set than a tank set, what with all the visible skin on it, and the two "full armor" Guardian sets being the Tank and DRG sets.

There is nothing saying that when two DoW classes share an armor set model that it must be the melee dps who share models. Dragoon has shared a fair number of armor models with the tanks already (the Dragoon i90 PvP set is even a recolor of the Brayflox NM tank set).

Still, aside from those rare examples, tank gear has almost always been distinguishable from DDs whereas it's not be quite so much between the DDs themselves. Further, it makes sense for the Acheron gear to be tanks and the Guardian for DDs if you consider what weapons they wield in their appearances. Amon, though... could have easily been caster armor given his XIV outing. But given the fabulousness of it it couldn't not be for Bards.

The armor the Roe is wearing made me think monk because it has a tiger-like appearance, and the monk relic is tiger fists. But I can see the theory of it being tank gear, too.

I really hope that orange-colored amon-gear looking one is not for bard because Im tired of being given frilly looking crap to wear from dungeons! >.<!

You think the tank set looks too bulk for monk, but the melee set isn't? It's heavy armor. How could you not think that is bulkier than a Roman gladiator-esque armor set. I don't think any of them give off a monk vibe, but the tank set is definitely the closest.

The first one looks like Acheron's gear so I'd guess that's the Tank one?

That's probably my favourite of the sets that I've seen, at least from this screenshot.

Looking forward to this CT and the new sets they look real nice to own.

You can see the bard wearing the Amon/Hein hat in the screenshot by lololink.

it's basically confirmed that from left to right is Tank, Healer, Mnk/Drg, Bard, Caster, Drg/Mnk

Yeah, shame we won't know any stats for another couple weeks. If the Bard set is Accuracy/Crit I'm so going to be farming that place. Same with the Dragoon set. Determination/Piety better be on the White Mage set, there's so little armor with that stat spread for White Mage.

Interesting. So they have gendered endgame gear sets now. The female only version of the caster/healer robe looks sort of good. Is there a picture of the male version?

I just want them all, for me at least they give like an oldschool feeling, so cool.

That Amon gear is fabulous and I want that for my Bard. I don't play bard much, but I want that for my Bard.

Hours getting them all? More like months! CT lockout my friend! ;)

Most of them look muddy, in lack of a better word and as for Scylla-themed ones.... Well, I guess I can use a chuckle every time someone sporting a 3-headed head piece will run by me in game.

I'm curious about loot dispersion. Assuming there is 36 items total (6 per set) and from the lodestone preview there is only 3 bosses. My math puts that at 12 items per boss! GL getting your loot guys D:

The Guardian will surely be a boss. Or maybe there will be 2 chests on the second or last boss.
