My body is ready. First Time leaving Selbina and watching my lvl 50 buddy get destroyed by the NM and rain hell upon the entire group watching- he chases you down into the cabin lmao! YOUR GOIN NOWHERE!

i want a kraken club.

Ah I so hope this to be true, anyone who played XI I'm sure had their own experience with boarding the boat to Mhaura for the first time, innocently thinking this will be a pleasant trip with lovely scenery , only to be one shot by Sea Horror.
Actually use to have a macro /em waves at the Sea Horror

Bit curious though, that doesn't seem like an updated model, just the model viewer version

About to say, that looks like an exact copy/paste of the Kraken in XI, which while they have identical mobs in XI (Colibri and such), the textures are updated.

That being said, bring me those joyeuse/Kclubs!

I hope it's true, but if you look at XI version in model viewer it's identical, so is making me doubt it, as even if it kept near identical looks their would be subtle updates purely due to graphics

Think about it very carefully. Namely the fact that Hildibrand is going to have his next investigation in Costa de Sol. If anything, Ultros will appear there. I'd be surprised if he doesn't.

Also, joytoy, need a joytoy for pld lol. Same affects, which actually wouldn't be too bad for pld in this game actually.

Indeed, but unless Yoshi drops the ball on more FF elements, he should have said octopus and used Ultros as a reference to that rather than the actual 3 kraken bosses we do have through various FF games :p

As people in the Reddit thread said, they wouldn't put Ultros in a random lvl 50 dungeon. He'd be probably part of the Hildi questline.

Um...Where is the source? I don't see any source from reddit.

The reddit topic was made by suo9448, and nothing else was posted....No interview quotes, no quotes from the dev/english community reps, no screenshots on the lodestone showing this mob...and new dungeons...nothing...
All that was posted was an image of the mob, and even that is just a ripped image of Charybdis from FF11.

OP I think you are jumping the gun a bit.

Of course your free to speculate, but just because someone made a speculation topic on Reddit, doesn't mean its fact.

If they were going to reuse a model for Ultros, they could use the one from FFXIII-2. They've already used enemies from the FFXIII series, so it would be a no-brainer.

He might have made us tremble in our boots back in XI, but as 99% of the bosses in XIV, he too shall be a p***y here! :rolleyes: An instanced no-threat-to-the-open-world one while at it.

Just because someone posts it on reddit, doesn't mean its true.[/B] Especially when it comes out of the blue with ZERO source information. Kraken could be the boss, it could be Ultros, it could be a Sea monk, hell it could even be Octomammoth (although this is very unlikly since Octomammoth is an in game item)
