So how are you guys liking the patch?

Just wanted to know what my fellow Trabians think of the patch so far? I haven't done too much yet as far as the battle system. But so far I like it. A little worried about how we rank up now, but with time it'll all pan out, right?

I'm hearing a lot of mages not too happy about MP cost and cure/sacrifice no longer being aoe. And a lot of people are kinda upset about having to micro manage their mp. Thoughts?

I like the instanced dungeons but it sorta seems like they got rid of the daily grind of leves and replaced with the daily grinding of dungeons. Is this a better or worse idea?
I haven't really done much with the leves after the patch but a friend of mine solo'd a Dunesfolk for a little over 1k SP. Am I right in assuming "Big 3" are obsolete?

I do like that I have a good chance of getting marks now for crafts if I do leves from the coinciding city. I got about 2k in bsm (worthless for me) and 1k in arm and about ~3k SP from each leve.

So far that's all I've really noticed. So what are your thoughts? Oh..anyone beat the r45 dungeon yet?

someone's bound to have beaten the rank 45 dungeon by now, but i have to say, that ogre is a pain.
might try fight it again tomorrow if i can get a party for it.

and I'm actually really liking it, apparently linking isn't as good as it used to be but the SP from dungeons and quests make up for that imo.
seems gathering leves have been really buffed SP wise, someone in my shell managed to get about 20k SP from a 5 minute gathering leve

It's fun~ the dungeons are such a challenge! Auto attack is a bit weird... takes too many inputs to start it... maybe they can add a /attack <t> command or something... other than that, I'm enjoying the patch!

Meh, not really liking what I did so far.

-AA is awkward to get used to

-Think the MP and AoE adjustments for Cure spells could have been done better

-Dungeons aren't too bad, but kind of wish you weren't forced to go with either 4 or 8 people depending on which you go to.

-DCing in a dungeon boots you and you're SoL on getting back in

-Still not liking the search system

-Still not used to the targeting systems

-Enmity is still screwy as hell, thinking it's even worse now

-Doesn't seem to be any repetitive quests to gain more seals, and don't think you can gain any doing a dungeon you completed.


All and all, call me a downer, but I feel like this update did more harm than good.

i just don't like the fact that a single cure can generate more enmity than provoke, taunt and warmonger =/

Yeah, Curaga is almost a death wish.

And after looking into it more. I considering the dungeons are a flop to. The limit is still stupid since I don't see why you can't do either with 4-8 and scale the difficulty accordingly. And from how it looks if you're a melee in the R50 dungeon you're dead weight when you get to the ogre.

I think it's good. Mages can't spam cures and tank has to use more than 3 enmity moves. Also, the first time you tank something big and have all three rows of skills on cooldown (except defender II) is a pretty funny moment. :)

Ogre can be cleared with a melee or two no problem.

I'm digging it. Also very happy I stopped playing a month after launch. I seem to be enjoying myself more than the majority because of this. They really need to fix the Action Bar highlighter though. For those of us who prefer a controller it's almost impossible to see what skill you are on. I also don't like PUG's heavy MP use but other than that it's looking much better.

mostly just going to need a session sometime to practice enmity management now, get the healers to step down to using Cure II instead of III and allowing some space for some self cures by the tank. (unless if the tank has extremely low HP)
also, stoneskin seems a hell of a lot more useful to use during battle now than pre-patch due to how little amount of MP it costs, how little enmity it generates plus how much damage it mitigates :)

Yeah, I manged to down the Ogre tonight, but AA and the targeting still need work.

I hope i'm not the only one who likes the mage nerf. Not a nerf at all in my opinion. Rather, i learn to play better by managing mp and enmity. Plus, it keeps me on my toes! Kind of sad that siphon mp is only single target now. Slight gripe. Still manage to pull about 150 on the dungeon mobs.

Love cs + soughspeak + chameleon + rebirth. Saves a life and time in a jiffy.

Not sure if i like AA on mages...can't attack for sh!t even on weak mobs...

thoroughly enjoyed the dungeons! And the loot have been pretty amazing.

Love that i got rid of all my repair mats in favor of dark matter. More inventory ftw!

I'm liking it so far, I haven't gotten a chance to do any of the dungeons yet, but hope to soon. I play conjurer and kind of like having to think about mp consumption. It could still use some tweaking, in mp cost of spells, but I have no doubt it'll get ironed out. I do think however that Auto Attack should be enabled immediately after you use any aggressive skill to initially hit the mob. It seems to be on and off sometimes for me. I ran across an Imperial invasion last night, I died, but I really enjoyed myself. I'm feeling encouraged about the future of the game and its content.

no, I'm enjoying it as well, in fact I'm enjoying playing as CON a lot more than i did pre 1.18.
i like the fact that i need to use my MP wisely and not just spam to win, before this patch i never had any problems with MP consumption and i personally didn't find it very rewarding to play as one.

also liking ARC now as well strangely enough, the battle changes have made it a more enjoyable class to play as for me so considering taking that to 50 next.

still needing to have a session sometime so i can get some tanking practice in before I'm confident enough to try and tank in the Dzemael Darkhold, but I'll get around to it soon enough... hopefully.
