Not a complaint thread

I figured there was too much poison on the boards, some of us need a bit of positive threads. I play the game 2-3 hours every night, and there's so much content left for me to do. Enjoying leveling my Trinity, enjoying mastering the jobs, enjoying the quests and feeling satisfied when running challenging content. In game, there's more nice people and FC's than negative people on this forum. I have no demands or rage quit, I have no complaints or threats to SE for relic grinds, and I look forward to watching this game evolve. I think Yoshi and team are doing a great job, they may not institute every nerf players shout for, but they do listen, which is refreshing. Yeah, there are things to fix, but 2.0 hadn't even seen it's first year, and more content is being released every 3 months. I just wanted to throw my 2 cents out there, I'm sure some trolls will try to make even this topic toxic, but please list some of the things you love about the game!

SE seem to delete/lock most of the complaint threads, so they should not bother you too much xD

Though these types of thread are IMO just as bad :D

Constructive feedback is useful IMO.

I love the feeling I get when I help out the new players that join my FC. I also love getting into random emote chats with people.. spur of the moment dance parties are my favorite. ^_^

That is about how much I play. I'm so far behind on everything it would take me a long time to catch up.

However, I spend about 8 hours reading thru these forums everyday~ lol...

I can't wait to get home from a long and grueling day at work just to get on this game! I love everything about it! It feels good when I just lose myself in it.

And that includes the mind numbing grinding lol, I know I won't have a problem with that when I get to my ATMA quests! :p

I like to crank down the game music, pop in my headphones and listen to a playlist I made specifically for gaming FFXIV. And my M&M and Cheetos addiction has taken a turn for the worse I'm afraid.. Lol

Except for the ones the go on for days or months and never get locked ever? There are a ton of those.

Much of what is in many of those threads is far from constructive. Complaining about something isn't constructive, and that's what most of those threads are. Constructive would actually be offering a solution or change that could resolve the problem. Many posts are in very short supply of those kinds of suggestions.

Me too! I mean... I'm spending those 8 hours diligently working at work. Yep. That's what I do.

I love watching this game evolve also. I enjoy everything is has to offer so far. I like grinding achievements. I've even switched Grand Companies twice to get all of the Grand Company achievements. I can't wait to have the Lion/Wolf PvP armors to vanity for my tank classes and I collect all the mounts and minions. I love leveling all the different jobs and trying those out especially since SE has introduced diverse ways of gaining exp with roulettes, challenge log, and beast quests. Only downside is now all my jobs are 50 and nothing left to level! That'll be fixed soon when Ninja comes out!

Anyway, I love the relic/atma/animus/novus grind and I just take it slow. I'm 15/75 towards Novus now. I just got my last i70 DoH/DoL item. All my DoH/DoL jobs are fully melded. Now I just need to catch that elusive Navigator's Brand! Then finish my sightseeing log after that! So much to do.

But I haven't started 2nd Coil yet. Something had to be sacrificed to fit everything in! Maybe soon though :)

PS. Props to OP for starting a positive FFXIV thread. Hopefully other enthusiastic players like myself will share the things they love about this game. I'm sure that helps SE as much as the complaint threads do :)

But either way, I love this game. I love the devs and the world they have created.

I've played every day for at least 1-6 hours since Beta 4, and I couldn't be happier!

I have nothing against you people enjoying this game. More power to you. I only wish I could enjoy it as much. :P

Anyone else digging the game? I want to know why you all play. Hoping it won't turn into "For item X, that's all I want". Weapons and armor are a means to an end, so what's your end? Storyline, friends to chat with, crafting master, or mostly just looking forward to new content?

This thread is too happy, we need something to derail it.

This game is in effect a product SE are trying to sell.

If masses of people dislike something about it and give their feedback (complain), this provides SE with useful information to hopefully improve their product.

If nobody ever "complained" this game would be in a worse situation than it is now.

That's true, but there is also a very fine line between constructive criticism and outright complaining for the sake of complaining. Which sadly most of the so-called 'constructive criticism' threads turn out to be.

And yes, there are little things which can be definitely improved (and which the development team are slowly working through), but they don't detract from all the fun I'm having - I played FFXI for nearly a decade now, and if I could put up with it's many major faults for all that time, then the little niggly problems with ARR are nothing to me. I just love this game too much. :D

This game is how I hang out with my gf since we're long distance and as a lifelong ff fan it's perfect. It's the perfect blend of casual for her and hardcore for me and it's great to just do little things together every now and then.

I love how detailed the world is. And I'm addicted to crafting!
