I'm having that problem every once in a while; during my game play, usually during a time when there is a session change etc... is there a client side fix for this, or maybe another forum link that would be helpful in solving this issue?
been having this problem since they 'fixed' it. I was actually online, briefly before when the servers came up and I was fine. I would love a 800 number or support site that I could direct my rancor towards. any thoughts?
ditto and another mate of mine just jumped on vent, and hes having the same problem. I called sqaure and could not fix it either even they had a few things to try eg deleatin ur toon and them re adding. It but you cant do that gives the error message and also tried adding a new service and making a new toon but that did not work.
If you get on or see a fix please post here for other's i been looking but found nothing
I have been having the same problem as Lujan said. I called SE tech support and they have me unistalling the game and reinstalling it. Not sure if it will work if you want to call NA support the number is 858-790-7529 just submit a trouble ticket on you SE account because they will want a ticket number. Good luck I will update when I get the updates done and try to log in.
Same problem here, was running around near the Archer guild and suddenly got disconnected.
Tried a different computer and different ISP per SE support suggestion, no dice.
Basically the SE support guy told me to submit this to the developers on http://support.na.square-enix.com and told me he couldnt do anymore...
the guy on the phone was nice enough but completely useless. at the moment I'm knee deep in my router trying to play with port forwarding as I have heard this is a possible solution. Thing that really gets me is that all was well BEFORE they deiced to 'fix' it.
Update reinstalling did not work don't bother with that headache.
Also tried per request of support to make a new character that did not work either
yeah this is silly now almost been a day how do we add some dev tracker to this clearly is on there end , come on square we are clearly stuck dont fot get about us small people i know the masses are fine but what about, the one's that fall of the list :(

I am having the same issues.. I had my ls mates log me in on their computers..and gave them the same code... I made a new toon..same code.. I logged into my friends account no problem.. I talked to tech they said post here.. really?
yeah post here same tried everything and nothing really disapointed now :( cool 8 hours cool but a day and no ones come on just to say we looking int o it or offer something it's clearly nothing on our end after every thing we have all tried, just upset i've stuck with this game from the get go and all the new / old people come back and they having load's of fun. and im stuck out here like well bored yeah i have a real life and work but it's a weekend and my day's of and i'm just mad i guess.

It's pretty unprofessional that there's an entire group of people, albeit a small one, experiencing the same exact problem and are getting absolutely no attention for it to such a degree that they're all deciding in unison, "Well, we might as well try Rift."
I'm aware that you're understaffed, but what's going on over there, SE? By logging in from different computers, configurations, and, in some cases, even different countries, these players have proven conclusively that the issue is on your end - the ball is in your court.
If this is how they can expect to be handled now, how can I expect that, if the game flourishes, the company will stand by their product if I have an issue? This is the lowest the game population will ever be, and as loyal to this product as I am, if you can't get customer support together now - how can we trust it ever will be in the future?

this is 100% a server thing I am able to log on as my brothers character on my laptop

I let it cool for a day and decided to try again this morning.... same error 3102, and I'm sure it has to do wit servers as well. My bro can log on and he lives a couple streets away from me. And I'm sure if I logged onto my husbands account it would work lol. Wish they would fix this issue already... was able to log on maybe twice after update but then it kicked me off and haven't been able to log in since, kind of irritating considering I got kicked mid-quest. Haven't even been able to test out any of the new game play. Hopefully they fix it soon, I don't find much enjoyment in staring at char select screen lol.
hahahahahahaha of course right after I post this I give it one last shot of the day before I get up and get ready to do something else and it lets me in.... guess just keep trying guys.... but really they should fix this inconsistent log in business. Cuz I don't want to have to go through the same stuff when I decide to log out for the day -.-
I have the same issue but they + my anti-virus detect a trojan virus in the data so please be carefull it would be nice for the for the tech to look into it.
In now as well, they must of ninja fixed it.

This is called necroing old posts xD 3102 error means you are shown as logged in. It happens if you get disconnected or exits without logging out. In other words, its not their problem, its yours.
