Moving atma stones to key items inventory

Can we please have our atma stones moved to key items inventory and make them stackable? The atma books go there already so I don't get why the atma stones are in our normal inventory.

Also for the mystery maps like the one we get daily why can't we get more than 1 in our inventory? Like if u have a mystery map in your inventory you can't get another one unless you decipher it. Same thing with the alexandrite map too.

Gotta peddle those extra paid retainers somehow.

Alexandrite maps piggyback on the existing map infrastructure which only allows one map per type in the inventory, while adding the untradable attribute as well.

Does the regular treasure maps work that way? I wouldn't know I don't do treasure maps :( it would be nice to be able to have multiple mystery maps though...I can live with only 1 alexandrite map in inventory

Nope this would make farming them a pain as my FC will just sit on a map and get 10 of them then move on

Umm I'm sorry but I don't get what you're trying to say.. If this is about atma stones...they can already do that since you can have more than one of each kind. If this is about the mystery map then I still don't get your point or what you're trying to say. Unless you're talking about inventory management wise.

Treasure maps are one in your inventory, one deciphered, one in each retainer's inventory and one on each retainer's market sell list (for a total of 6 maps). It would be very nice if Atma stones stacked and could be held in your key items slot but I fear that that will never come to pass along with requested things like the off-hand tackle box for fishers. It's just one of those quality of life things that just won't happen.

Are you sure you can have a treasure map both on retainer inventory and retainer sell list? I tried that before and was unable to store two identical that way. (Peisteskin map)

I completely agree with the OP about how the Atma should be a "key item", and to be honest was shocked when I started my Atma quest only to discover that they weren't already key items. Although I think it's too late at this point for an Atma adjustment, I'd hope SE takes note for any future similar quest items. I know a few people who are avid crafters/battlers and have full inventory/retainers quite often.

I don't think "stackable" is necessary, simply because there is ample key item storage space, plus each Atma has it's own unique colour and descriptor (which is helpful to keep track of where you've already gotten Atma).

You can't have two maps of the same type on one retainer - you can either put it in the sale or iventory slot there but not to both. This goes for any item classed as Unique. So in total you can have 4 maps of the same type (unless you've paid for additional retainers) on one character with one being already deciphered. After that you can have 3 of each other type if you want to - I typically collect up to 4 Peiste + 3 Boarskin then go to hunt for treasures. Plus I have another bunch of Peiste from my alt which I moogle mail to one of the friends on LS so we can do 12 - 16 maps in one go while the companions are still out. If you have a friend(s) with which you regularly go for maps just keep moogle mailing maps to each other and then you can do 8 maps at one go (in group of 4), pop to mailbox to get another set and rinse and repeat. It's much more time effective this way than trying to form a party each time you have only one or two maps.

Also could the stones please have better names/descriptions so that it would be easier to check if the area you're farming in has already been done or not.
The completed quest log search route is beyond cumbersome and it's weird there's not a quest tracker for this that would check boxes for drops as they come.

Yes, I second this! Atma in key items and stackable and the journal list of atma should mark ones already owned.
