Display Mannequins

I remember to have read at some point that the devs team was "evaluating the possibility to add mannequins to display our armors". I was really excited about that but haven't heard anymore since before 2.1. Is that still a thing? Maybe when personal housing will come? I've been collecting armor sets and I don't care about the space they take up in my retainers, but I would REALLY like to be able to display them... something like the black mannequins you can see in DoH class quests. Maybe they could even go as far as making it possible to change the "race" of the mannequin and adjust its stance to the class that can equip the gear it's put on it?
I can't wait to make my house an Armoury Museum :cool: Please make it happen!

This would be awesome as part of an FC's bragging rights. line the walls with lvl 50 af crafter and DoW/M gear :D

More gear, more shiny weapons came out with 2.3... I'm seriously running out of space on my Retainers, to the point where I stopped farming dungeons and raids to complete my collection and just collect whatever my daily Expert roulette gives me... I would really appreciate if the feature to display gear in mannequins would be confirmed or not, to know if it's worth to buy 2 additional retainers to keep collecting stuff or if I have to give up my dream...
On a side note, wasn't Weapon and Armor Guide confirmed or at least mentioned at some point? That would be a nice substitute of the feature...

I believe they did mention a weapon/gear guide in the last live letter, and that they were still deciding on the best way to implement it.

That said, I would love mannequins, like the OP I have a retainer full of gear (and weapons are stored on the other one).
I would even be happy if the mannequins could only wear AF gear, as that is the gear I am most attached to. I wore my myth gear for months, there is no way I am just throwing it out.

This is all I want a house for, to just display all the gear sets I have collected. Even if I have to trade in the set to get a house specific item that is the full suit as one movable thing.

remember reading somewhere (last live letter perhaps?) that as it stands right now, they cant do this for some sorta coding reason and that they are not looking into it but possible in the far future like post expansion.

A: Komoto: As a player myself I understand the requests to increase the amount of space in Company Chests and feel it would be good to have a bit more. However, when it comes to adding a rack it might not be the best way of going about things since it could contribute to problems revolving around having to remember where you put your items. Personally I feel that it would be best to keep things simple so players can play the game easily.


Basicly, they won't make it because it might be difficult for some people to remember where there gear is.
Also, they gave a server overload answer to not adding more item allowance

Could make the mannequin composed of several different pieces that can be glamoured, so the actual item stays in the armoury chest/retainer while still visible. Or could make an inventory for this kind of things, accessible from a special chest... Or as Blindheart said, make us trade the pieces or craft the mannequins using the gear as mats... there's plenty of choices, I just would like to be able to display all the wonderful gear that is in game.
With tha armour log confirmed though, I'm afraid it will be a long time before we can see something like this... But I'll be happy with the log too, especially if they do add some lore to each piece!

Yoshida: There's an issue where we won't be able to increase the amount of land if we allocate too much data resources to houses. Our plan is to first add as much land as we can. After this, we'd like players to build a lot of houses and once the needs of the players have been met we would like to increase the amount of items that can be placed. We are placing the highest priority on making it so a lot of players can possess a house, and then we will look into increase the amount of items that can be placed.

This shows that there's a hardware/software side to this that they need to deal with before they can make this happen.

Yeah but this isn't about placing more items... I'd be okay to keep the 50 items limit if that would mean 10 mannequins composed of 5 items each... I think 1 mannequin = 1 item would be a bit too much, since you should also count the equipment pieces as separate items. But 10 mannequins (and no other furniture) on a small house/ private room, and more in medium/large houses? Sign me in!
