What counts as exploration ventures in Challenge log?

What counts as exploration ventures in Challenge log?

I started today with 4 done.

Been gone a few days, Did a few quick exploration Ventures, through out today, finished off my 10 for the 1st group.

But for the 2nd part of the challange log I only have 4 completed?

Well if I do some math I'm not sure how to get to 15..

7 days x 24 hours/ 18 hours for field exploration = 9.3333...

So how is it that we can get to 15 exploration ventures of quick exploration don't count?
Do we need to do hunts? If so it should be renamed in log.

You have 2 retainers, they can each do 9 field explorations a week, for a maximum total of 18. If you schedule properly you should be able to get 15.

Or you could buy more retainers. :)

Well it should still be lowered to 14, And noted that quick exploration doesn't count.

You get to exploration every 18 hours right? 24 x 7 = 168, take that number and divide it by 18 and you get 9.3333. Take that times 2 retainers which is 18.6 so round down to 18. Now you see you can get 18 exploration ventures in each week. Plus you get double credit cause they count towards the first venture as well.

So they pretty much expect to purchase the extra retainer or you're in for a very tight schedule for your weekly challenge.

I find it rather insulting that if you send both your retainers on exploration missions once a day, which is perfectly reasonable, you end up exactly one short of the challenge.

That's like a giant middle finger to the player.

Not all players, just the ones that choose not to pay for optional services in a subscription based game. Next watch them put in a fantasia potion category in the challenge log.

LOL, thought the same. Even if you log in each day you will probably miss 1 exploration if you do not plan it correctly. Nice way to remind you that it is better doable if you buy some more.

This is still an extremely unfair challenge because getting it with only two retainers basically means you need to constantly do 18 hr ventures every single day, severely limiting how many of the other ventures you can do. The map challenge doesn't require to get 7 maps a week does it? No. None of the other challenges are even remotely as demanding as this one on both your time and choice of how and at what pace to complete the challenge. Either up the reward considerably, or lower the requirement considerably. Like, reward me with gil AND 20 ventures, and now we're getting somewhere.

So I have a 40 hour a week job, same hours every day. Sleep a set schedule everyday. How in the world am I supposed to check on my retainers every 18 hours....

Pretty much 90% of the time I just check on my retainer once a day. Even if I check on um after I get home from work, they always have like 4 hours left on there timer. I'll never complete that achievement.

Seriously, the reward for this is 4k gil, why is anyone even bothering with it?
I'd rather send out my retainers on several quickies while I'm online playing. You can pretty much guarantee they are gonna come back with at least one item that's worth more than that to sell or bring you something worth keeping that you value more than 4k.
Even if they stuck another zero on that amount, not worth the trade off.

It's easy! Just blow off work, school, sleep - whatever there is that might keep you from participating in your time-based MMO events. It is a time-worn MMO tradition.

Honestly, wasting time at work when you could be playing a video game? Where are your priorities, man?

Haven't really noticed this, but I agree since it's kinda weird compared with other challenges. Why very tight requirement for ventures? Even treasure hunt still manageable, and very quick with alexandria map comes into play.

This is total bs in my opinion. I would have to schedule my entire work week around retainers.
What I really hate is how I loved doing the weekly challenges but this one thing ruins it completely because completion for me is impossible now.

And with that this ruins the rest of the challenges for 100% as well.
