Need better stat capping on FATEs for high item levels

On my servers, at least, there are tons of high level players farming really low level FATEs, them farming isn't the problem, it's that their item level is so high I guess the stats don't cap correctly and they end up demolishing a FATE boss in a matter of minutes. It's gotten worse since the FATEs were dumbed down in the recent patch. Lower level players, not even half the map away, can't even make it to these FATEs in time before they are beat. Also, while we're on the subject, a big FATE boss shouldn't be soloable, these new patches lately just seem to be for the lazy at heart, just handing out participation trophies so the kiddies feel like they contributed, I mean really, changing the moogle furniture design because people complain the hardly noticeable stitching is "scary," you ruin it, stop babying players.

There is also the problem of no people around. I dont wanne wait for other players when i am farming atma's

As my understanding, the difficulity will decrease only if previous spawn has too less particiants. ^^

Some bosses should be dumbed down for solo play, especially if no one is willing to help out.

I agree as when I leveled I had to solo many fates when there was no one around. I don't necessarily like being forced into fate grinding a specific zone just because that's where everyone is at.

They were destroying the FATEs even before the patch, their ilevels are to high, low levels should at least have the chance to get to their same level FATEs . I even noticed the ilevel difference at Behemoth, dead in 2 minutes, maybe less. If someone goes to your zone and says Behemoth is up, it's already to late. If you're soloing FATEs then you should probably change servers or get an FC, it is an MMO afterall, there are always a lot doing them on mine, but now the higher levels are crushing everything before anyone else can even get to them. I did a FATE this morning, the one that drops the mushroom minion, there were 23 people around, and a black mage was tanking, he had to much hate and he only attacked once, but his item level was so high, he wasn't taking any damage, he just stood there doing nothing, and still tanking and not doing anything after he hit it once, no one was healing him and it didn't look like he was in a group. If the item level is that good for a black mage to hit a boss once, keep enmity from the 12 tank classes that were there, and barely take any damage, then something needs to be done. I've got a 50 brd, with ilevel of only 63, but it's still way overpowered if I go to a lower level FATE, if I start farming them, the lower levels wouldn't have a chance either, and my item level isn't even near these farmers level.

Yeah, FATEs are actually worse for solo players much of the time. If a FATE party rampages across the map and then disperses, any solo players running into the subsequent spawns are in for a very tedious experience.

Dont worry, the only reason there are so many high levels in low levels Fates is because of the Atma grinding. Theyll be gone in about 2-6 months.

Best design choice to flood lower levels Fates so that new players are not forced to solo things due to lack of population, instead they can not participate at all or get bronze since its done by the time they get there!

Yeah... I was having a very hard time trying to do any damage at all in small mob FATEs on my Arcanist... They'd kill things in about half the time it would take for me to cast a spell..

I can't imagine what it is like for healers. :/

if mobs are dieing too fast, use your instant cast spells and cast it on as many mobs as possible its super easy. also arc and whm can both Cross Class blizard 2(which is realtivly a low level) making it extremely easy always for arc and cnj to get xp from fates all you have to do is just cast blizzard 2 a couple of times and you will get a gold. These high lvl parties also take low level's just ask them for a spot, or look in pf; tell them you are having issues getting above bronze and you will be flooded with a million different ways to tag mobs for your class/job. but really the only class at a disadvantage in low level fates is thm/blm since it's the only class that can't use blizzard 2 when synced.

Uriel... That's how I only managed to get a few hundred exp using the instant cast: Bio. I've given up on even attempting to level my Arcanist, it just isn't worth the frustration. It kind of just put me off of even attempting a healing class too.

EDIT: Tried my third server with a low level character, all the servers I try there are huge groups of level 50's wiping out level 5 - 15 FATEs, racing around the maps in sync on their mounts. I noticed a distinct lack of low level people in these areas too compared to when I was lucky enough to not see this on my Pugilist.

The heck kind of mechanic is this? I can't even try out different classes, unless I want to soley grind on mobs as the level 50 drones fly about the newbie zone nuking everything.
