I guess your right, went looking for server info. 13001 for the past 30 min. Ah well.

Was on 40 minutes ago, got kicked off with error 30002.

Now I've been getting 13001 timeout 95% of the time ever since.

This is why you have regional servers, SE. Having everyone in the world try to connect to a single company's server cluster is idiocy.

As it stands, I assume all the Japanese players are getting priority, as they live extremely close to the server farm. Us in eastern America get incredibly shafted, like always.

just got on rab for like 2 minutes, then kicked out again.

I seem to get kicked when changing areas.

gah, i cant even connect anymore. just getting a timed out error everytime i try. its like the beta all over again haha.

But it wasnt the case, people in my Japanese LS were DCed too.

The reason I never got to play beta:
I didn't get in at first and just thought FFXIV is too much for my PC to handle so I gave it up.

Gosh, this is just a patch, but I'm not getting into the game at all because of the timeout error..x-X
But from I hear from the other people in this thread, it wouldn't help to get in anyways, because I'd get thrown out again after 10 min at most:rolleyes:

This is not true. FFXI has a lot of more players than FFXIV and things like this doesn't happened there.

Can't get into the game right now but hey, there's a bright side to this (for me at least). I'm eating a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Not such a bad idea. I forgot about eating all day because of this stupid patch :)

And you've received this information from where?

FFXI's been the niche game back when gaming wasn't such a widespread and normal activity. It is also back when the majority of people in America had dial-up.

FFXIV has been released in an age when Final Fantasy is an extremely well known brand, when gaming is as big as any other activity, and is available to so many more people than FFXI was, not to mention a lot more solo oriented, or so they said.

As far as I know, FFXIV has attracted a higher playerbase... until people left due to how unfinished the game was. Now they're all back! And the servers can't handle it.

In beta, they talked about maybe adding regional servers. Never happened and here we are now, the same situation as FFXI. JP players get insane advantages, and I keep dying due to distance latency. :)


Edit: A full hour later and I'm finally back in the game. Watch me disconnect 4 minutes later..

Edit2: Haven't disconnected, but that was still an hour of my life I'll never get back.

when it freezes on you just restart the download it worked for me
