Random Crashes post-update

I've never experienced this before. I've had the very rare disconnect happen, but FFXIV actually crashed to the desktop today during a Behest. Anyone else experiencing random crashes?

It seems like most of us can't even log in yet...

I keep experiencing the same problem, I was able to log into my character once and now this just keeps happening.

Changing areas/teleporting crashes you it seems. Can't get past the login queue most of the time either without timing out.

I just crashed while running out of Grid and am unable to get back in so far.

I crashed when I tried to zone from Thanalan to The Black Shroud. Went way over the zone line and hit the invis wall. Ran back and tried again, same thing. It finally ended up crashing and now I can't even get back to the char screen.

Also noticed on my leve that when the mob ran to bring out 2 new ones, I couldn't claim the new ones even after he was dead. So I ended up getting 0 SP/XP from those 2.

Crashed after whuping some mobs near one of the new encampments, could be due to server strain who knows.

Yep. Nothing beats a DC/Crash.. UNLESS it's a DC/crash that doesn't let you back into the game all night! Trying to log back in is about as much fun as getting drunk and speed dialing ex-gfs.

Fabul is incredibly unstable. My whole LS has experienced at least 3 simultaneaous crashes already.

Wutai and Fabul are completely down.

Yeah, I've gotten two "Server Error" messages and have crashed out of game, both times inside Gridania.

First time when I was heading up toward the shops on the East side, and just now when exiting Gridania's gate toward the 3 bridges...

Was heading here to post something about it, but seems the thread's already been started :)

Post-patch glitches and such... I guess that makes FFXIV a real MMO :-p

ahh fine, always blame it on the lalafells...

great patch yoshi. you didn't have the fact that the entire game was unstable as your new and improved fatigue system in your patch notes. awesome patch i bow to yoshi-ism.

Server connectability got nerfed too it seems.

crashing as well.... these patches keep failing more and more sadly. I can imagine all the people who decided to come back and are now quitting again.

guess the karnak server is down aswell :D

I wonder just how many people are trying to log in/are in the game now.

And yeah, I got kicked out too.

Back in, although it seems there is a great deal of crying happening. Poor babies who can't deal with a few moments away from the game I feel for them, really I do.

I got back on after crashing and being unable to log back in for 10 minutes, istory server.

yup if i spam login attempts i get in 1/10 times for like 2 minutes... lame, Reika it's your fault I saw you at the chocobo ranch place and DC'd ;_;

Wow, that's pretty lame if you're going to quit because tons of people are trying to log in and try the biggest patch since November.

When I summon a retainer to the Gridania wards my caracter becomes stuck in place and no controls will work. The retainer does not arrive. The only way round it after much waiting was to log out and try to get in again. Oddly enough, the summoned retainer arrives when summoned to the bell in the Adventurers Guild.

Fabul.

It started with the Taru but I caught DC-ism from you! so its the Manthra now, gotta say though... I got to use quickstride without drawing my weapon 1.18 ROCKS!

3jane that's an old glitch, summon your retainer in another ward ... it's just full, apparently that issue was resolved in 1.17c apparently :s (if i recall correctly)

lol im in the whole server is empty! just 2 people in my shell
