Dark matter vendor NPC location

Anyone know where's the vendor to sell dark matter?

Yes, this is one of the very first things I need to do, as well. I meant to repair everything to full before the update but didn't log in today.

Finally found him! he's the taru name "tataroga" that's in Ul'dah right merchant strip
( the one that sell Moth Pupa and Lugworm, muddy water )

Well... first guild I visited (Goldsmith in Ul'dah) wasn't selling them, so it's not going to be from all the guild vendors... I'll keep looking and post back when I find it.

Grade 1 = 100 gil
Grade 2 = 600 gil
Grade 3 = 1500 gil
Grade 4 = 2800 gil
Grade 5 = 4500 gil

I'd say those prices are pretty reasonable. Should help take some of the gil out of the economy, but I imagine a bunch of these are going to pop up in the Market Wards soon due to gatherers getting them. Wonder how fast the rate of obtaining them are.

Can also buy dark matter with Company marks

So repairs in general will be more expensive now.

Tataroga (7,4) in Ul'dah sells it -- just check the stalls in each town. Prices are:

Grade 1: 100
Grade 2: 600
Grade 3: 1,500
Grade 4: 2,800
Grade 5: 4,500

I saw most of people still looking for repair for their grade 5 item at 3000-4000 lol maybe if they know the cost they will adjust it :D

You can also exchange Company Marks for Dark Matter
The come in Packs of 20
Grade 1 10 marks
Grade 2 50 marks
Grade 3 100 marks
Grade 4 200 marks
Grade 5 300 marks

I got 250 marks for the initial quest and then 2 more quests that offer 1000 and 1500 marks.

well once gathers get, and people get from quests the price will obviously be lower than that at the wards, so i think thats too low for npc price

There are reduced gil rewards from leves, now. While people who have been playing before this point will have amazing sums of gil stored up, anyone walking in is going to have to be careful on what gear they end up with, otherwise they might end up spending too much of their money on repairs and not enough on actual gear. The transition to dark matter is probably an easier feat for those either starting out fresh or those who are at R50 already with a job. The system is still in it's infancy, though, so there will probably be plenty of tweaks coming over the next couple of updates.

Gatherer here. I wouldn't get your hopes up for our collecting it at any reasonable pace. I can't speak for the other grades, but obtaining G5 dark matter through fishing is very slow going. Hit gatherer's fatigue twice now (about 4 hours of fishing) and still only have 4 pieces of G5 dark matter.

Haven't tried lower grades yet.

EDIT: Also didn't take into account that other DoLs might get it faster. Fisher myself.

you can also buy all ranks of dark matter at Camp Black Brush, so I'm guessing also at the equivalents in Grid and LL; at same gil prices as quoted earlier in this thread

The vendors at the Rank 1 Aetheryte camps sell all levels of Dark Matter as well.
