PSN Maint really sucks

everyone knew there was going to be psn downtime. being told that you would not be affected should you remain logged in is great, except when that isnt the case. was playing just fine, then next i know, i am kicked out of the game, and my game now has a lock next to it so i cant play. anyone else have this happen right now?

I logged out, then got confused when I couldn't log back in. But hey, it happens. It's the one real downside of playing through the Playstation. It's such a rare occurrence though I don't mind.

Yeah, I tried to log in early this morning to bypass the maintenance but it had already begun...grrrrrr. Guess I'll go outside today. GAWD....lol

i would agree with you had it been the same for the other maintenance that had happened before. i was able to play thru that just fine. SE had said the same thing they said this time. dont log out, you are able to play. not playing right now, as you can tell.

i was in game all day. i got kicked out tho.

logged in early before the psn maintenance hoping i could continue to play during the maint, but got kick/lock out during the middle of T5 T_T and couldn't log back in anymore.

what is the point of telling us if we logged before maintenance we can stay log-in, when that is very false.

Was this a ps4 issue? Hoping I dont jinx myself but I wasnt logged out at all :x ps3 here

yep was playing on the ps4. Don't think it have ever happened before for the other maintenance when i was playing this game on the ps3 before switching console. >_>

Is there a patch or update that will be needed to download after the maintenance?

Ugh, yes, happened to me. My job keeps me up pretty much all night, but I pushed myself to get up early before the maintenance this morning to log in... Got kicked out anyway. Lame.

On topic, I was going to log into the game before leaving for work this morning, but forgot. Now it looks like it wouldn't have done me any good anyway...

When does the maintenance end? D: I was changing my hair and couldn't leave or transport anywhere after doing so. I just figured a quick restart of the app would solve the issue then saw that there was psn maintenance. .. I rushed back on the app and I can't get back on. Go figure it happens on the one day I am able to sit and play early. This is yet another reason I dream of playing on PC and not the ps4

AH you're right, I translated the end time into what it would be for my timezone, and then thought it was the end time for PDT. Sorry for any confusion people D=

It's an Older MMO, the sub fees are pretty damn steep(the picture lies. it's only free if you play the shitty limited content version, aka "homeless mode"), and the graphics suck from time to time, but still worth playing.

The difference is the game can't tell you that there are too many WVRs and you need LTW instead. Real life can because if everyone was a Tailor and none were Farmers, things would kinda go awful :P

kids down for a nap (check), ice cold drink (check), ready to get down (check)...ready to level Black Mage some more (at 40 now) and ....f'ing maintenance...so computer people still get to play...dang it...always when I have time to play there is mainteance...I must have the worst luck ever...guess I'll play tonight.

Well, Square did alert everyone to the PSN maintenance, As did Sony.

by telling people if they were logged in, they could continue to play.this was not the case, as from the looks of it, ps4 players got kicked out of game.

Every other PSN maintenance since the game launched has allowed logged in players to continue playing. My wife was able to continue playing on PS3 just fine. It looks like PS4ers aren't so lucky and since no one at SE or Sony (moreso SE since I doublt Sony tells them anything) is capable of seeing the future they didn't know a maint. would disconnect the game. This is the first real PSN maint. since PS4 launch.
