What mini game do YOU want to see in the Gold Saucer!

I personally want to see the Moogle-Finding a mate like the one in Final Fantasy 7.

PS-Chocobo racing doesn't count since they already announced it.

Not really a good idea to necro such an old topic.

From the ideas highlighted there, adapting a rl life pvp gambling game seems quite interesting. Like a casino style Texas Hold'em. Or yakuza style riichi mahjong (reference: touhai densetsu akagi). Although i doubt the second one catches too much popularity outside jp servers unless dumbed down.

yes, parley. Was in the mainstory and some class quests. In the main story you did it if you don't wanted to fight (like in the mission with the Ifrit Summon as example).

It was interesting, but too easy.

That's a extremely old topic and in a different part of the forums.

I'm no fan of chocobos, I like summons. Give me cool things like:

- Summoner battle theathre (which is spectator mode for Trial battles)
- Egi breeding (to make them grow up to big avatars)
- Summoner battle arena (Pit different primals against each other)
- Last man standing (Big arena for multiple players, and Bahamut flies above and breathes fire and you got to survive the longest)

Cool stuff like that would make me hang in the saucer for life.

I was actually thinking today 'How could SE get me to sub to this game for life?' and the only answer I could come up with would be 'add BLITZBALL'.

The ideas that I came up with would be to have it similar to FFX in that you recruit blitzballers and form teams. Only (PLOT TWIST) the blitzballers are player characters. So you can manage a team and hire actual characters from your server with gil paid per term (weekly).


When creating your blitzballer you get given 100 points to allot into your stats of choice (shoot, pass, block, etc) so you can specialize, have an all rounder, whatever you like.

As a manager of your character, you could set his weekly rate and gear him. Blitzball specific gear and materia, which will up your stats, (Again, like shoot, pass, etc.)

So you can a) manage your own team with your character in it, b) manage your own team without your character in it, or c) pimp your character out to another team and not have a team of your own to manage.

I had trouble figuring out how matches would be actually played, though. With real time pairings with a, say, ten second window to pic the action to perform? A tournament-style match where you play somebody else's team controlled by AI?

Betting on the matches would be essential, so you could basically pop into any currently running blitzball games (with your favourite teams!) and bet on the outcome.

The thing I love most about these ideas is that it allows for PC created fame. You might suck at Titan, but if you're #1 blitzballer or manager on your server, who cares? ;)

They should have a mini version of the 16 bit titan fight they showed.
