A different kind of Atma problem...

Having recently collected all 12 Atma (only 96 hrs X.x), I am faced with an odd problem.

Which class gets the upgrade?

I generally switch classes based on what I feel like doing for the day, (pld/war/brd/whm/sch/smn ilvl86), not really preferring any one class over another. The time investment is to high to simply grind out atma and animus for all of them.

Then gets Leviathan Weapons.

PLD is probably the best choice out of your jobs if you have no preference as to a main class. The Animus version of the relics sits even with Levi and Weathered Weps at i100 so it's just a matter of deciding which has the best stat load outs. If you want to consider it as well the next stage is Novus which is i110 so at that point you only have to decide if a Novus or an upgraded weathered wep is best.

I agree paladin because of shield and sword.

I'd say wait till we have solid info on what the Novus upgrades are going to look like. May help make your mind up.

Only thing really up in the air is the customization options. We know they're i110 weapons so the standard Novus weps will be current relic weps with i110 stat numbers. I do agree though that the customization may make or break some of the weps.

All ilvl86? That is rather precise for so many classes! :p I'm kind of surprised you didn't hit ilvl87 on one or maybe ilvl85 on one by accident... hehe

On a serious note, that is a rather hard decision as it's quite a time sink to collect those. Is there one that people like you to play? If you can't decide you might weigh in your friends in to this. Like for instance if you have a white mage friend, you might want to give it to one of your tanks, etc. Cause, well, there ya go, got the hard jobs filled (tank+healer) and it would be easier to pug the rest for whatever you felt like doing.

I think he means aesthetically. Some people's first reactions seeing the PLD in the live letter was that the Curtana was dripping pee. >_>

Thank you all for the advice, I think I am going to wait to see how the customization pans out.

Choose the class you play the most or choose the animus weapon that look the best

As an avid Sch I'm going for that weapon. If I can customize it then it will become the only weapon viable for me to use since no other weapon has crit at that ilvl range. All other classes have decent weapon choices but Sch. >.<

For me I've been upgrading the ones I absolutely do not want to ever farm FATEs on, as strictly only zenith weapons are able to acquire atma (why it is this way, I'll never know)

Technically, after upgrading a zenith to atma, you can get your zenith back by visiting the Calamity Salvager and coughing up like 27k gil (and another 900 myth tomes), but who the hell wants to do something like that?

I went with classes that have least viability in heavily populated fate situations. My healers get atma first, then probably blm and melee dps, tanks who can flash the day away and bard with instant aoe are lowest priority for upgrade for me. I'll get to Levi ex soon enough.
