Well Square apparently wanted Conj to be main cure... and they more then made sure that was gona happened.
Thurm is now simply a debuff and dot based class

When they gave CON all the raises and said we would be getting cure and -ga spells for cure I was pretty sure sacrifice would be made single target. Not really shocked at all.
great so now THM has lackluster cures and crappy debuffs. Well, one less class anyone is going to want to play.
Everyone that wasn't a high level THM already didn't like that THMs could tank and heal past a lot of things!
But those Cure/Sacrifice mp increases, oof.
They did the same to Conjurer, have a look... Healing spells have been reduced to single target and their MP amounts bolstered. Goodbye Raptor parties, or generally any type of party now! There is no "dedicated" healer anymore since your skills only target a single person and take crap loads of MP to cast.

Overall I think this is good for the game. No content was ever going to be challenging with CON's and THM's pissing down endless AOE heals all over everyone.
It was bad game design and it's being fixed.
These new MP-costs for cure spells are frightening. But at the same time, bring it on ;D!

Anyone who didn't see the writing on the wall for THM has no one but themselves to blame.
There was no reason to play CNJ after getting THM to 50. Now there is.
That said, the recasts on Bio and Dia need to be dropped like stones, because THM has definitely been reshaped into a debuff/DoT class that can backup heal (though it'll still be useful for tank healing if the regen effect on Sacrifice hasn't been nerfed). Missing a Dia or Bio hoses THMs DPS, and they should have Poison-esque recasts to compensate.

This negative thing is a big positive for the game...
It is not longer on easy mode (stand back and spam sacrifice III), mp management is actually important now. That is a good thing.

Well, at least they didnt restrict the old and high-rank cure/sac to Thaum. I will still use it on my other classes, too bad I will run out of MP faster tho :(. The potency increase on Thaum attacks better be badass to compensate for the reduction of healing ability. BADASS!
My THM's nuts hurt... A lot. At least until we get "job titles" to slap on and become a defined, unique and useful role.

Well as a THM, I'm fine with the adjustments. They don't make sense lore-wise or balance-wise, but from a practical and personal standpoint it just means my character is responsible for less in the party while my poor CON friends now have Buffing, Curing, and Nuking duty. Unfortunately this also means fewer party invites for me, as I am now significantly less versatile than my CON brethren.

Now my alc can start bashing out ethers (they will get usage, finally !) and sell them for overpriced price ! (if there is no competition on the supply side ;)
I'm fine with the update to THM and cure spells these were needed, but now I really feel they need to lower the recast rate on enfeebs like slow. 50 seconds to recast if it doesnt stick is pretty beat.
