FF and the GCD

Are there any plans to lower the GCD down from 2 seconds to something like 1 or 1.5 seconds? Maybe I'm alone in this but it seems slow to me and it would go along way in making the game seem more fast paced. Titan aside things seem very slow to me, I love the game but would love to see faster paced fights and a faster paced combat system.

I wonder if there are any plans to remove the global cooldown and make something like v1.23 before ARR. It feels about right to me. I'm old these days, reactions ain't what they used to be you know. Darn kids, etc.

I'm going to assume you're a lancer (since that's what it says under your profile....)

You should use off GCD skills in between to weave while GCD expires....Heavy Trust (GCD) - Internal Release (off GCD) - Impulse Drive (GCD) - Blood for Blood (off GCD) - Disembowel (GCD) - Sweep (off GCD)...etc etc.

Lancer does feel really slow compared to other classes :-(

End game fights are already pretty hectic, I think it's fine the way it is.

I'm okay as is.
Think of GCD as the ATB filling up for next attack

This is why I think they went with a 2.5 sec GCD instead of the 1.5 "standard". FFXIV has a helluva lot more stuff that you have to manually dodge than a vast majority of MMOs. The 2.5 sec GCD gives you a reasonable time to react to other stuff between pressing your attacks.

The long GCD was the reason I quit the first time on my PC account. Only playing it now because my PC blew up so I'm on the PS4. Not to say I dislike FF14 cuz I don't, but I really hated the long GCD when I was playing paladin. I can kinda tolerate it right now with BLM cuz the cast time takes up the entire global but oh well.
