LOL Tank epic tips

I have been playing Tank since the close beta of ps3, and this week I have been DF with some “Characters” , than have shout some of the most epics phases I have ever read, I want to share it and also hear if others tanks have recibe this kind of “useful tips” :rolleyes: . Enjoy.

-Last boss, DPS at turn 1, after a wipe:
“Man you are a terrible tank your health keep falling to one with only 8 stacks”

White Mage at Bryflox, before last pull (I was playing as WAR)
“Good, why is so difficult for you to use Hollowed Ground?”

DPS at Garuda extreme after a wipe
“I have the hardest part, I don’t get why tanks complicated so much this fight”.

Healer in stone virgil (I was playing as PAL)
“ why you don’t use overpower if you have run out of MP?! “

DPS at turn 1 (he was dead all the fight)
“we can complete this boss because the off-tank don’t do enough damage”

And the winner of the year

DPS at turn 5, before start
“Ok Tank if you don’t act exactly as I told you, I will leave”

That last one make me chuckle. I would of just mirrored what he said and watched the party lose its shit xD

I once had a melee dps in Garuda Ex party finder yell at me for not stunning Whicked Wheel =/

I had a whm in amdapor city ask me to mark the doors for her on diabolos. We then wiped because they never opened the doors, when asked they replied "I couldn't open the doors because the tank marked them".

I also noted before the fight that doors 1&2 would be a pair, and door 3&4.

This one gets me every time.

I had a WHM healer ragequit a normal brayflox run while I was on a paladin because... "STOP HEALING YOURSELF THAT'S MY JOB!" and "FINE YOU CAN JUST HEAL EVERYBODY" -->{RAGEQUIT}

I had a nice variant of this one.

DPS at turn 5 : "Do exactly as I do and everything will be good"
I did repeat every movement he made (after pulling, that is) and wiped us with a nice penta-kill plummet. We laughed pretty hard when he raged out (thankfully replaced in 30 seconds) ^^

you should edit your sig. This program is illegal in regards of SE's ToS
still against ToS technically but SE made it clear that xivpads was OK. My bad I confused it with APP :p
(also, MY sig clearly shows that I'm using pads. sigh... such an idiot..)

APP =/= PADS

I had a WHM ask me for Protect in Stone Vigil yesterday while on my WAR.

Those you listed are really far from elistist but stupidist :o

Once had a healer ask me by name to use mage's ballad while i was tanking titan hm

I think that was me... Major Brain Fart reporting for duty! I thought I was there as a Bard for some reason. I was standing there wondering why the WHM wasn't using protect.... BECAUSE I'M THE WHM, STUPID!

In Brayflox HM as PLD, a BRD says:
"dude, stop spamming Flash and work your enmity combo".

Leviathan Ex, as WAR main tank after we die to hysteria:
"jim get off Levi and stun spam that fish"

Me and another BRD in Garuda Ex:
Other BRD: "yo brd, stop using foe"
Me: "Why?"
Other BRD: "if both blms need foe for damage they suck"
Me: "You need TP for damage, right?"
Other BRD: "nope. Paeon is for when i need to sprint. I need u to spam ballad"

I actually don't say anything, but when I warrior tank, I never stay on Levi during Caster-add phase. If you're smart, you can DPS the add without getting any of your party members lined by Dread Tide. But most main tanks seem content to be lazy and sit in the corner and then complain if the DPS is a second too slow in killing the add. It's why I prefer to MT that fight.

This is kind of the reverse of this thread, but it was just too good for me not to post it. A friend of mine was running Brayflox NM on his Black Mage.

They got to the final boss and the Tank was tanking it in the poison. He then yelled at my friend to stop using his Fire spells on the Dragon as they were healing it... :D

If I am OT, I find it really annoying when MT do that :/. I usually leave adds for ot. IF I am MT I only help on dps the add if we lose one of the dps

This thread delivers! Some of the good ones I've had

-I got told (by a THM) in normal Brayflox I should have 5k HP unbuffed by that point in the game
-DPS is Cutter's Cry was running around the room pulling everything, then when he died (each time...) he said the healer was 'a useless bread d*ckhead' and I (PLD) needed to 'L2P'

My favourite, by an absolute mile, was a healer on Garuda after we wiped
-Me: No heal for a good few seconds there, what's up?
-Healer: (direct quote, I screen-grabbed it) "omgg tank u rr a f*cking c*nt y u dnt no how to tank?1//

....we voted to kick him and the decision was unanimous. Ha.

These three really got me. ONLY 8 stacks? I'd like to see one of them stand in front of Cad at 8 stacks.

Can you say one-shotted? I knew you could. Hell they'd probably get one-shotted at 2-3 stacks.

I'm just now learning Garuda EX fight (as off tank) and yeah there's a lot to do. DPS just kills stuff...

That last one. Anything involving a DPS threatening a tank that he will leave makes me laugh. Really hard.

DPS are so easily replaced that they are borderline disposable and you said what? xD

Haha, "borderline disposable" - I love it.

As tanks, we could easily have that elitist mentality but we don't, it is almost always the DPS - surprising!

Turn 4 About a Week ago
WHM Healer: "Well the Tanks abit Undergeared, Should have about 80 Ilevel. I'm 83"
Me WAR: "iLevel 96 Mate......"
WHM Quits.

Other Tank was in Similar Gear (I Believe it was about 90).
Still find it Funny...
Then again i Find alot of things that i shouldn't Funny.
