Myth Farmers & Duty Finder/Roulette Go AWAY!!!

Seriously.... If you want to farm myths I have no problem with you doing so and I do it myself but I do it in a pre-made party. Don't use Duty Finder/Roulette to do it and inconvenience the rest of the people in the group by leaving and then they have to wait for someone to fill in to finish their duty... I'm thinking maybe SE might need to make all tome rewards be given at the last boss to fix this.

I can agree, but to be honest the ones in roulette doing it aren't there for the speed runs specifically. They are there because on top of the usual rewards your roulette gives you more tomes, I can't blame people for wanting to get in a quick run of whatever dungeon it may be. Remove the dungeon timer and maybe people would instinctively worry less about time they've spent in the dungeon.

I personally haven't touched roulette in ages, I don't see the point other than the Gil rewards. PF works just fine for speed runs and I believe more people need to realize this.

Also, I don't understand the complaint, it may suck, but if the Tank wants to speed run and the healer doesn't...guess who leaves first when they don't get their way, 99% betting the Tank. And vice versa, if the healer wants a run, the tank doesn't, c'est la vie.

The only ones who suffer are the DPS, and well to be honest, nobody cares about you anyway. <sarcasm>

I'm not talking about speed runs at all, I'm talking about people who go in get the myths and leave the rest to have to replace them to finish their duty.

I'd stay too if people would learn how to move the damn bombs. Wipe wipe wipe, used a translator with instructions in their language and still nothing. =.=

And ruin me coming in-progress as tank and getting an easy 45 soldier at the end of the week cause I forgot to do my dailies? Absolutely not.

They're eating a penalty, so working as intended.

I actually welcome the penalty, gives me a reason to go farm Atma for 30 minutes.

They are not always eating a penalty...
In halatali HM last night, real friendly run, lots of chat in party, absolutely smooth with no deaths or mess ups.
Second boss dies and they vote abandon and it passed, even though I voted no.
So clearly pre made doing it for the myths so stop with the "working as intended" because it clearly is not

I was going off the OP's post. In which he clearly stated the situation. Yours is a different situation.

So in some situations there are pre-mades using the DF to fill the gap for their personal gain and abandoning dungeons against the other's wishes. Well, may I suggest you throw out some reasonable ideas to combat this behavior? I'm drawing a blank at the moment on how to police this style of negative gaming.

Already threw out a reasonable idea, move all tome rewards to the last boss. Or they could make it so if you are a full pre-made group you can get the tomes as is and leave but if you use duty finder for even one fill in you will not get them until the last boss is killed.

It's a great way for tanks to farm Gil! As soon as more catch on, I'm sure finding a replacement will speed up as well.

They don't need to remove tomes from first two bosses and move of last, they can just add tomes to last boss as well, since they've already said myth will be increased,
No point taking from one to give to another, will just promote people choosing in progress and withdrawing if full run pops up

You don't want to deal with this bull crap of people ditching duty after they got what the want... Come play on the Japanese servers.

I've seen groups that do a vote for quitting the instance. There are only 3 votes needed, they get no penalty and I do not get my roulette bonus.

Because of this, I'm not doing roulette anymore and register at least with a 2/4 group to permit that kind of vote.

that's still working as intended. the only time it's not is harassment like afk untill you boot them or some other method to get kicked.

Lol. I've been getting in a lot of in-progress Brayflox's lately(as heals). I like it. It means I can be lazy and cap at the end of the week now since I already have all the BiS tome gear for my main class.

The timer is so high that if you have worries there, it means your group is already dealing with other problems.

simple, remove the kick option AND abandon option altogether, that will solve it once and for all.

Agree, since the dropping last boss issue happens since 2.2, therefore no myth from last boss should be the root cause.

I think without roulette, more players will drop the last boss.. ^^;

It's Simple, add Myth to the last boss. Since they already said they would be increasing myth rewards, probably about 50 myths at the final boss would make it so that everyone stays.

you have no idea how happy i would be with 100 myth brayhm runs. i actually started crying a bit because that is just too good to be true.

From a different perspective, having decreased gains on myth tomes made me want to do the roulettes nearly everyday. At least I have something to look forward everytime I log in. On my server, players would rush farm soldiery on Mondays and Tuesdays on PFs, then it kind of tapers off. It's probably from my data center cluster where I rarely get leavers, if the group is decent at clearing, players would generally stay to finish the run.

I'm not the opinion. When a myth farm group with 3/4 players enter the dutyfinder to get the last one and then vote quit after the second boss, than its harassment for me as I've wastet my time for using expert roulette. My aim by entering expert roulette is to get sol stones and, what a surprise, the bonus for doing the roulette. When they do vote quit the instance is over, I get not the stones, not the roulette bonus and I have to register for expert roulette again.

I started asking in DF brays if they are there for myths or full run. So far people I got a few runs where everyone agreed to stop after 2nd boss.

that doesn't make it harassment the vote abandon is meant for the whole team if they want to quit that's their choice now SE could come in and say that is bad and not to do it, but untill then as far as i know it's working as intended.

Ther result of this: I'm now one more healer that is not entering duty roulette expert anymore. Sorry people. Its your own fault that you have to wait now even longer.

like i said it passed nothing i can do because vote abandon was meant for the party to use if they want out, and like i said while it's working as intended se could come in and say no don't do it.

1 person out of 4 wanted to be in the dungeon still forcing them to stay would be rude, even if you did join a roulette the other 3 didn't because you can't queue together (in roulette)really you just got unlucky.

Working as intended and working within the rules are 2 different things.
What is happening now in breyflox is within the game rules however, it is not working as intended since the developers are thinking of ways to stop the nonsense.

They need a system that knows how much tomes you've gotten so far, and when you hit leave, it prompts, "are you sure you want to leave and lose the myth you have acquired so far?" Sense this could screw up Brayflox Myth runs, They would need to also make adjustments to the vote abandon system. Like if its a premade, then vote abandon is available from the get go or they could make the leave penalty null if its 100% premade group. That way you can leave without losing your reward in a premade group. They could also make this effect anyone that disconnects, and/or is afk and gets kicked. Obviously it would suck, if you were the unfortunate person that loses connection after the second boss and lose your 50 myth. But that isn't going to be a regular thing, and I think it would be worth it, to stop people abusing DF groups.
