The untapped potential for an expansion that is...

The Moon, Lunarians and Zeromus in FFXIV.

Over all I am more interested in the potential that an expansion based around the Moon can have with regards to story elements.

• You can introduce a whole otherworldy element into the game by letting players travel to the moon
  
  New creatures
  
  New themed armor and weapons
  
  the list goes on
  

The idea of space as a whole in a fantasy setting is so diverse you can create new story arcs

It's an idea, but Eorzea is only a small area of Hydaelyn; we have a lot more of the world to explore still.

I guess ever since I was a small 12 year old boy I've longed to see the moon again.


To hear that haunting moon theme melody playing in full orchestral glory of modern times would be amazing.

I'd love to see this happen eventually. I mean we got FF3's Crystal Tower and bosses, why not the Moon?

I think it sounds pretty cool, but I still want to see all of the locations they've talked about in the game first.

Or at least the Gold Saucer first XD

Unless Hydaelyn's other moon is artificial just like Dalamud that won't likely happen since that part of FFIV was on an artificial moon not the actual moon.

I think any expansion based around space, will eventually happen, least I hope it does, who knows could be a new race lands and tells us about their home that's only a short distance away from the planet, thus opening up new races , new classes, new lands

Golden Saucer is in itself untapped potential.

So many things I would do to a Golden Saucer yet I'm not gonna voice my thoughts on it. Just hope it can satisfy my minimal requirements which is just being overall a joyful experience.

:( I feel sad that Square-Enix hasn't released another Final Fantasy related FATE.

Seeing how the Allagan empire were capable of space technology, it's not unfeasible to believe the empire is out there...waiting.

Haha...guilty.

I could see the Allagan's residing on a Moon. However there is so much more to the current world to explore before we even get close to seeing a moon expansion.

mmhm , in FF series usually 4~5 other continents + countless isles , not to mention sky/underground , even cosmos (moon/asteroids etc) and not forget time travel and "other" dimensions :D
