PS4 chat window

Sorry if wrong location to post this.
The chat portion on PS4 is driving me nuts as it is not wide enough.
When i move the cursor over with the touch pad there is a corner but how is it actually enlarged?
I tried tapping on the touch pad and everything i can think of, also did not see it in the ui settings.
Any help would be great

I can't remember which one but hold the L2 or R2 down as you drag your finger across the touch pad. Hope that helps.

You need to activate virtual mouse mode in game by L1 + R3. Then you click to hold and drag the chat window to size.

Have to use the mouse in the top right corner. You will see the type of mouse icon change.

I had same problem went the first couple days like that until I got fed up with it.

I can't remember exactly how to hold it to drag though, it was tricky. Either double tap hold, double tap release, can't remember just try various things. Not at home or I would try it.

Bring up your virtual mouse. Not the one on the touch pad. Then clock and hold l1 I believe on the top right corner of the chat box.

Oh cool thanks for all the replies. I literally have had to bring up the chat window full screen just so i can see conversations at times so this should help immensely

The touch pad is setup like a right click and left click mouse w/o the need to go into virtual mouse functions. Move the cursor over to the corner of the chat window (top right ) and then click on the left hand side of the touch pad and drag your finger to the away and up position you want it to be. You will see the window resize while you do this. Once you get there release and it's all set.

With the righ upper corner you can pull the chatwindow bigger
To move the chatwindow you click with the mouse cursor on the "generaly" tab and move it while holding.

To use the mouse cursor you can use the touchpad, switch with L1+R3 in the controller+mouse modus or with using a usb mouse on your PS4

Using the virtual cursor to move it (L1+R3 and dragging) is definitely the easiest solution. But I want to further echo someone else and say that if you needed to use the touchpad, the correct command would be: double-touch(not click), and hold. That will put you in a dragging mode if you are in the correct upper right corner of the chat window. It's definitely not the easiest thing to do because the touchpad can be a little too sensitive.

The easiest way is to connect a actual mouse to the PS4 for those kind of interaction, cause the touchpad is way too sensitive and virtual mouse not far behind in annoyance.

Anyone else notice that when you move the chat log to the bottom left corner of the screen and when you prompt the type window (press triangle), part of it gets clipped. For me it goes a bit off to the left of the screen. I can move it with the right analog but its annoying doing it all the time. Is there a way to permanently set the window?

You double-tap and hold on the second tap to drag things.

EDIT: And someone has already said that, guess that's what I get for not reading every post.
