This is a call to all LGBT Final Fantasy XIV players, friends & families thereof... voice your vote for Equality in the upcoming Marriage System.

I have a gay friend and he couldn't careless about "marriage equality" in the game. Use your effort on the real world issue then you won't have to be posting about it to get it in the game.

It's an none-issue for me as a whole, it would be nice to have equal marriage since theres going to be a marriage system in the game but on a whole I don't care.
To be honest I'm not sure why they needs to be a marriage system at all, but I guess I'm just not as invested in the game as some or simply lacking the BF to play with and married to lol.

Eitherway this wont effect my playtime or have influence on my subscription.

Oh god... Just remove marriage completely.

They'll just slip it in without fanfare if it's included.

Counting down till this thread has 10+ pages of arguing and is subsequently closed by a mod. Over/under of 2 days.

The title of this thread and past history of these threads that you point out in your post. Is enough to lock this.

So much talks about marriage , those who played FFXI know that is was fun feature @ start , but was forgotten real fast lol. Not to mention i play FFXIV and played XI with my wife , and we don't even bothered about marriage feature lol. I bet it will be fun few days after up in game , then it be forgotten like FFXI one lol .

2. Buy fantasia

But SE decided that they won't do it and they're going to close this thread as well. I don't see the point in making these threads at this point... marriage in a video game is not a real thing, you're only marrying a virtual avatar that is not you, with no legal benefits at all.

Hopefully TC gets a ban too. Like I said in butt topic, SE really needs to lay down ban hammer on people who constantly open previously locked topics.

Then why even have it in the game if its pointless? If they are going to have features in a game that promote real life feelings, they should respect the rights of everyone to happily use it. Is that so hard?

I'm a straight guy playing a lesbian cat girl and now Square says I have to marry a guy. Does that make me gay in real life or the game, I'm confused?

Though if they did let me marry a girl I'd probably propose to my healer's cat girl who's played by a straight guy... sexuality and gender roles are confusing -_-

While a discussion about game mechanics and policies would certainly be appropriate in the forums, this thread's original concept of voicing support for the issue does not promote a discussion of these topics or break new ground on discussions that have already been had in the forums during threads that did discuss those topics. You are certainly welcome to begin a thread that would discuss those topics, and a civil discussion would be monitored and moderated accordingly.

As this thread does not require heavy moderation at this time, it will just be closed to prevent additional posts that may lead to needing to take forum account actions or remove the thread.
