We are in about the 8th week or soemthing since patch 2.2 and we are still at 15% echo in Coil. I thought it was suppose to go higher.
Does anyone remember what the original post said about this increase which should be every 2 weeks?

Does it really need to go any higher ? Do you really need the buff ? I would hope you don't.
echo buff probs wont be til 2.28 then 2.3 by what it looks like but dont need it any higher really

I am kinda feeling this. Honestly, 15% atm is very generous, and another 5% won't help you clear T5 if you are failing at mechanics and are properly geared for the content (remember it can be cleared in Darklight). Echo was added to coil at 10% in patch 2.21, and was indeed boosted to 15% in the promised 2 weeks, but it occurred with patch 2.25. In the Patch 2.25 notes, it was stated that in two weeks we would get boosted to 20%, however we have not had a game patch yet since then. My theory is that the patch isn't ready, so SE is not boosting to 20% until it is ready.
they looked at the data for the amount of people running and clearing and decided not to implement it until further notice.
Basically an adequate number of people are moving on to the 2nd coil now with 15%. If your party is STILL having problems then you are going to have to identify who is holding everyone back.
Echo buffs... is by far one of the worst ideas I have seen in an MMO so far.... don't get me wrong, its not different to what World of Warcraft does.... but the difference is they only do it on content that is 9-12 months old... OR at the end of an expansion's life. not jsut because a new piece comes out.
It completely undermines the whole point of progression. I can understand it in story content.... but not in coil... or extreme primals or even hard mode primals.... you either make them hard, or you don't.... the buff is cheap and lazy... from both developer and player side of things.
This is why people are so excited about WildStar.... it really doesn't care if you fail... you need to get better, or you don't get rewarded... simple gaming logic that seems to be lost to many now.... all about seeing that next custcene right?
Except there are still thousands of people that haven't cleared all of coil or the extreme mode primals with full echo.
This has been said countless times.
The Echo won't save you from: Killing the spiney too early, not killing sisters fast enough, getting hit with landslide, getting hit with stacks of weights of land, getting hit with searing wind, getting hit with eruptions, not killing nails fast enough, not dodging divebombs, not dodging twisters, not killing dreads fast enough, etc.
The Echo is NOT A FREE RIDE, it doesn't hold your hand, it doesn't remove mechanics. I've consistently failed multiple EX primals with PUGs in PF and DF.
If you like WildStar so much, go play it instead of giving us your pointless comments that have been said and proven to be complete crap time and time again.
I was waiting for the next buff to try T4 but I guess I'll have to suck it up and do it now lol.
I agree and this is the same argument that every forum has for every mmo I have played. Some girl better rewards for doing content un nerfed. But the fact remains that there are always new and casual players and they attempt to cater to everyone. The ps4 brain in a wave of new ppl that they want to catch up. They will catch up and soon be playing the harder content at release.
I do agree though that its too quick. I like the idea of giving better rewards or making ppl beat something 2x or use but to allow u to learn it.
Its the age old argument...not really but it feels like it.
The community team has already said the Dev team doesn't see a need to increase the echo buff %. And like everyone else has already said, echo helps but if you can't dodge WoL/Landside and Twister/Divebombs, no amount of echo buff can help you clear content. Just learn it and take the buff as a bonus.
I rly like what Wildstar is doing, will it last iDK. it is coming out with almost a years worth of future patched alrdy to go. And their ideas are top notch.
also no more echo, fights are alrdy rly easy.
