What if you made your own party finder group that is a learning party?
So you don't want to make a learning party, because it's 7 other experienced players or bust?
Mind = blown
would be nice, but its a really boring fight anyway and the tidal weaps arn't too amazing, so not a big deal, it'll probably be opened up in 2.3
No you don't.....reading and watching guides gives you guidance which you can then apply once you're in the fight. If you can't learn from your own mistakes, which are more of an "OOOOOH THAT'S what they were talking about in the guide," moment then you won't be doing anyone including yourself any favors by having someone carry you through it.Quote:
That's slow and people need to learn from experienced players. Even if you've read/watched guides, you still need someone in the field who KNOWS it.
Make your own learning party, experienced players may join as well just because they want to help or because you may be the only person in PF making a group for that content.
lol at the replies. I bet they all have static raiding groups which is why they don't know the pain of grouping with people in a "learning party" more like a "lol I died and we wiped party". So freaking painful. I am for learning but if people aren't learning or trying to learn there is no point to doing it.
Raid statics aren't so much of a thing. Not on our server. I have a static that's only up to T8, but you can find Party Finder groups for T9 as well. Pug quality is generally quite high on our server.
My static only groups together for Coil, not so much for any other content. For all other content, I usually grab a few mates, and just set up a PF. Two members of my raid static has like every Ribbon from Moogle EX, and a good collection of weapons from Levi EX. They did NOT do it with our full static.
New content is not available in DF because doing so is a nightmare. Levi without a paladin, or very good coordination (Something DF is not known for) is going to be impossible, and king Mog is too easily ruined by one person who refuses to learn the fight mechanics or listen to his team mates.
When ilvl goes up, and echo is added to compensate for poor party construction/cooperation, then you can DF it. Until then, keep looking for a good PF group. Or make your own.
More like, "dude, that's not where you should stand on 2nd phase of Twintania. Yeah I know where you were, because I was there".
See, if watching/reading guides is enough, why do we have the school system again? Ah, right, we need someone who actually knows stuff to be there so they can actually teach
Now Here's a question. Everybody on the NA servers knows experience players aren't going to join the duty finder and a expect a win on something like an ex primal. What makes you think duty finder is going to help you get anywhere more than a learning party you formed on party finder? Hell a learning party from stratch will get you better results because the people you get will be generally committed to improving on their mistakes and learning while as the duty finder is playing Russian roulette with the type of player you get. And on the more complex fights like twintania you can specify the type of learning party you form such as semi learning party have experience up to X phase or so. Can't do that with duty finder.
Hmmm.... did these skilled players who KNOW the fight travel back in time to teach their friends how to do the fight when it first came out? I can;t think of any other way that people beat Levi/Moogle EX without having those experienced players in their pt. I mean, you think they LEARNED the fight without video guides and experienced players? That's crazy talk.
