We're pleased to announce the next Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XIV focusing on the many exciting updates coming with Patch 2.3! This next Live Letter will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2014, from 4:00 a.m. (PST) / 11:00 (GMT)!


In this thread we'd like you to specifically pose questions regarding the upcoming addition of Daily Hunts. In addition to collecting your questions in real-time via Twitter, we will also use this thread to gather your questions ahead of time and answer them during the event.

Will this have considerably difficult tiers unlike treasure hunting?

Unfortunately, even my least geared damage classes are able to clear the hardest treasure-maps currently with ease solo.

Will Daily Hunts be divided into difficulty ranks, so that even people with high iLevel can get a challenge from it?

I'd like to see you solo Chimera from Peiste maps with ease... with your least geared damage class.

Will daily hunts be similar to how levequests spawn in specific monsters for you only, or will it be similar to something like Notorious Monsters from Final Fantasy XI, where you need to camp out a location and wait for one to spawn (assuming you just kill one tough enemy).

Will daily hunts be in any way similar to how the Hunt quest system worked in Final Fantasy XII with bills and marks/elite marks?

Will the unique rewards from Daily hunts be something other than minions?

Will daily hunts be accessed at an NPC or a hunt board of some kind?

Will this be solo content or small group content?

Will hunts contain ranks similar to the Daily Beast Tribes where you unlock different reward opportunities based on your rank with the Hunt System?

Will the Hunt System ultimately unlock the next Job in the game that everyone is waiting for, Beast Master.

Will Daily Hunts be similar to Hunts from ff12? As in, you accept a quest from a message board, go to find the NM in the open world, defeat it and return to claim your reward. Or is this a Challenge Log type of thing, which once you complete the task, your reward is automatically given to you.

Will there be extremely powerful things for us to kill in the Daily Hunt, something that truly requires a full 8 man party, such as some old Notorious Monsters or other Primal like creatures that aren't going to be tied into the storyline directly?

Will we know in advance what region the target will be in or could it be anywhere in the world?

I have! Was good fun, certainly much more fun that duoing them which is simply a face-roll.

Will these hunts be instanced or will we be hunting after enemies that already roam in specific zones?

Will these hunts change based on the class and level on which you choose to take it?
(for example, using the challenge log to help level an otherwise low job)

Will it drop iLvl110 gear? Would be awesome with highly tiered open world content.

will daily hunts have a lvl requirement so that you can do hunts from lvl 10 and up, also will you have a good abundance of allowances to do them like leve's which give 99 per day ?

Will this new Daily Hunt system be similar to Roulettes or Guildhests and accessible via the Duty Finder?

Daily Hunts sounds like it could potentially be an NM system in the same sense as ZNM in XI wherein you obtain a pop item through zenni currency as well as obtaining the "trophies" from beaten mobs.

Are there any plans to make Daily Hunts a tier based progression system and will this event encourage for group play rather than a solo event.

Can we expect this to need more than 8 people to beat 1 single monster or will a light team do this job with easy?

Will Daily Hunts make use of the Notorious Monsters that spawn with the FATE system? If so, what kind of rewards can we expect to see and acquire?

i hope so, i prefer it like that i really like that system in Final Fantasy XII ^_^

Will these actually be difficult to an avg ilvl 90 character?

Are there any plans to Introduce Old Classic Final Fantasy bosses and monsters as Daily Hunt Targets?

I have a feeling i am going to be disappointed with daily hunts because i am expecting hunts like ff 12 where you instance in as a group and fight epic creatures like yiazmat from ff12 or the hell wyrm.

Are these true open-world content or are these just instanced to the player only?

Will there be solo daily hunts as well as grouped daily hunts.

Will these daily hunts start at or close to 50 as the beast tribe daily quests did? Will we be able to take on daily hunts as we progress from a lower level and perhaps have higher tiered ones unlocked based on the item level of the person acquiring it, or their rank (if you rank up similar to beast tribes). Will these be solo like leve quests or like a group leve?

Duty Roulette has made my Free Company feel like a social group that farms places.

If this is instanced, can we please pre-form parties so I can play with my friends?

I have been having troubles with the wait syntax of the macro system. It doesn't seem to support decimals, and those partial seconds can make a big difference in end-game DPS. Are there any plans to implement support in the wait syntax for tenths and hundredths of a second?

What is the estimated time it will take to complete a hunt, and how long to gather anything to start a hunt?

To add to this question, will this apply to dungeons as well?

Will u consider on buffing/ changing brayflox hm to make it so that parties can no longer speed run it in 6 minutes or so?
Something similar to how you changed the wanderer's palace?
