How grindy will the next relic upgrade be?

im enjoying it

Due to complaints I don't think as bad. Who knows maybe you need to dodge birds and collect balloons on chocobo in gold saucer when it comes out. I pray on my life nothing that bad though.....

Next wave:

1) Take part and receive Gold rank 100 times in Behemoth FATE (even without Fantasia your hair will turn grey)
2) Harvest 100 3 star items in HQ (Give me all your GIL because you will need 405 Gathering to even see them)
3) Make 100 level 45 leves for carpenter (drains your GIL as well if you have something left from the harvesting adventure)
4) Fish 100 capital fishes (even without Fantasia you will grow a long beard)

Result: Main stat +2

This way we are busy till 2025. Hell Yeah!

It will get verrrry grindy lol
But I think it will be worth it for all those that work their way through it all ;)

Seeing as how the Atma and Animus stages were to forcibly funnel people back into FATEs and early dungeons, the next stage will have a weak tie to other underused content, like say, crafting and gathering. In all honestly it will probably be something like making you buy a bunch of new items with soldiery tomes, find a three star DoH to combine those items with a three star DoL item to get your progression token. There will be 8 items, one from each DoH. (Though you may need up to ten of each! Don't worry though, because HQ ones count as two!)

See? This way crafting and gathering is forcibly relevant again! And since people complained about RNG in atma drops and fates, and soldiery gear not actually being that good anyway, a guaranteed weekly tome grind is the perfect compromise. Please look forward to it.

They will never involve DOL and DOH because they are not mandatory to use. There are enough people who just have one character and would moan if they have to level a DOH/DOL just to receive an Endgame weapon. They made DOL interesting with treasure maps but still, ppl rather buy them from the market than levelling their own DOL. So whatever will be the new Grind, it won't be for DOL. IMO. ;)

I would be very pissed if the new relic quest involves Odin or Behemoth in some way, I just tossed out my 29 behemoth horns because I had no use for it anymore and it was just taking inventory space.

I am fine with grind as long as not RNG filled
doing the books was fine apart for waiting for fates (waited 5 hours for one..)
and the 12 atma grind... never again please....

Going from Zenith to Atma was a PITA, it wasn't a grind it was a throw of the dice with each FATE. You could get extremely lucky and get all 12 stones in 12 FATES, or get unlucky and not get a full set till next year.

At least when going from Atma to Animus, you see your progress, it takes awhile but every step you take brings you closer to the goal.
