Lottery NMs and Leves

There are a few instances ingame where attempting to complete a Leve is completely hindered by the presence of an NM that aggros. Two seperate Necrologos, one at Nophica's Wells and another at The Mun-Tuy Cellars. Of course, those NMs are respectively the Mosshorn gang and Alux. The presence of the Mosshorn isn't so bad as they generally don't pose a high threat due to their wide range and the open space around them, but just the other day I had 9/10 nodes spawn directly into Alux's room, and multiple deaths caused me to fail a leve I would not have otherwise.

What I'm asking is, can you please:

1. Relocate these NMs
2. Negate their aggro
3. Change the areas in which the nodes spawn
4. Make the NMs condition/lottery spawn

I've only had this issue once with the mosshorn. Thankfully he despawned shortly after he killed my friend.
It shouldnt be too hard to move a few nodes around. I'd imagine they'll get this fixed fairly quickly.

On that same note, Nest Commander DESTROYED my miner yesterday when i was farming nodes.

I had the same issue, leve mobs were surrounding a nasty NM. Leves arent all that great, so what if you fail one or two every now and then. The game would get a slightly bit more boring if they did what you asked.

It's one thing to fail a leve and another to make them impossible. In many cases, if you're doing the leve at the appropriate leve it is entirely possible that one of these nms may pose a threat. An unavoidable threat.

Marks? Yeah.

Even if you fail them and desperately needed the reward, you can try again tomorrow. The real issue is just a bad oversight in game design. If you fail, it should be of your own accord, not because the game essentially prevented success

In the case of mosshorn you can actually go into a another cave north/northeast of the one where mosshorn hangs around and if you go deep enough you'll find a tunnel that leads to where your going. Quite a detour but it works.

hmm, Lottery NMs... whazzat?

First thing that came out of my mind is the Great Buffalo challenging Kokoroon Quickfingers on a Bingo Duel, with Dodore spelling the numbers.

Anyway, I recall Yoshi-P telling about monsters relocation, so you can hope they relocate NMs too =)

Forgive me for sounding insane for a moment, but I actually enjoyed hunting down the Valkurm Emperor in XI because there was actually competition for the claims and often people would team up to make the process a lot more enjoyable.
Competition is a good thing.
Teaming up is a good thing.

I hated camping NMs like that. Those fights were based more on shear patience than any actual skill. Having much shorter respawns isnt like we have now allows you to test your strength against the mob, not against your schedule.
Shorter spawn times like that of leaping lizzie wouldnt be a bad idea tho.

But that still doesnt have any bearing on the fact that some NMs in 14 conflict with the guildleves in the same zone

Or you can do simply this: Do your locals or leves when isnt the time of NM window. If you dont know which time they pop ask or search. So knowing when they aren't there is useful :)

Maybe it could do with changing, but some degree of notoriety is needed for the NMs to earn their name (they are notorious after all).

How infamous would they be if they never killed any newbs and suchlike?

This is a pretty good idea, Alux is in a very annoying place, it's like you're either there to kill him(rarely) or just doing your leves(i.e Moon's Mistress), no need for him to be a pain in the neck most of the time you run across him :x It's too mean even for an imp.

Most NMs in this game are on five minute respawns making it so that they are almost always up.
And notorious or not, they cant make one portion of gameplay totally unplayable. Alux is a good example. If you're of the proper lvl to be doing leves in his zone, you cannot solo him. If your leve leads you into his room, you have essentially no way of completing your leve. I realize this placement was just an oversight, but it does need adjusted.
