Are Lala players ......

Pervy?

I was just informed that they can get a unique view up those female WHMs thanks to the camera angles.

Is that why the Lalas always have that sneaky smile?

I wouldn't generalize and say that all Lalas are pervy... but after reading some in-game text I think it might be a bit of a racial trait.

I know of some Lala players who've done that (and likely still do that).

I also know some other players who would /sit next to me and do that while I was afk...glad I glamoured pants onto my WHM as soon as I was able to

When I first started playing FFXI, I had a Taru follow my Elvaan Paladin around for like half an hour. Each time I'd stop to talk to an NPC, he'd run up and stick his head in my crotch. It was v. creepy.

no less pervy than all the males playing catgirls and then glamming them in the skimpiest clothing they can find. So to answer your question... probably.

I picked Lala because I played Taru in FFXI. The Skirt-O-Vision is just a bonus perk.

i was a lala in 1.0. Here are the reasons I am no longer a lala:

1. Camera angles during battles annoyed me (this is the main reason)
2. I got tired of all the 'upskirts' and 'underboobage' I saw of other players
3. I got tired of the way my clothes never looked very cool on me
4. Lala's do really get an entire different perspective of the game than the 'tall' people. Even the desert of Thalan, is a forest when you're 3 feet tall.

Some of the skirts are so short that even playing as a Roegadyn it's not hard to get an upskirt shot.

Still the "view" is bound to be pretty boring. There isn't much in the Man-Bulge Department for all males in this game. I look from time to time.

On a side note: I'm pretty sure that during Battle on the Big Bridge, I was barely taller than a Roegadyn who was max height with mini status. The curse of being the shortest Lala possible.

Since all characters seem to shop at the same underwear store, I imagine it would make for a pretty boring view. Or at very least it would get old quickly.

SE seems to have put a lot of thought into the upskirt potential of the outfits. As an example, the Acolyte's Skirt, which is black, has white underwear, while the Foestriker's Skirt, which is white, has black underwear. Why can't I wear the same-color underwear with my skirt?
