Lack of players (?)

Hi, lately me and some friends have been trying to do Ifrit extreme, but we can't fill up a group of 8 people despite us being 5 friends... Currently playing on the server, Lich - i know this server is underpopulated, but even if we try to use duty finder we can't fill a group.

We've been trying for 3 days now to find two tanks, but it doesn't work out. I'm starting to think maybe there are few people who've made it past Titan extreme (?) and therefore we have a lack of tanks, but yea.. Kind of silly :p Lot's of things i can do in the game other than beat Ifrit, but i really want to kill him *psycho*

Nobody I know really does primals anymore. Maybe that's why? I doubt you'd all want to, but it's not hard to find a party for anything on a higher populated server.

Yea, that might be the case. But still, isn't duty finder cross-server ?

On Levi, and this happens as well. The thing is, the majority of the people who have done the primals can't really be bothered to go back and do them again. There is little incentive to do them more than once as Levi drops a higher level weapon anyway and is farrr easier to farm compared to any other primal (except maybe king mog, but that's more of a tank check). The items they drop aren't necessary in most cases, and not a lot of people care about the mounts or have them already. I've done them a few times each, but don't really want to anymore aside from maybe solo tank Garuda since that is quick and painless (usually).

Only within your data center. But the main point is that most people who have done the original 3 EX modes, no longer do them since Levi offers better weapons.

I'm on behemoth, which is quite populated, and still can't be bothered to find a Ifrit extreme group either, (a good one at least.) but oh well.

It's a bit complicated but the short answer is yes.

The true downfall is that any tank that wants to do Ifirit will most likely just find a Party Finder group on their server as duty finder tend to just involve healers killing dps or dps failing at nails. As a tank, the fight is really, really boring...

This leaves only tanks that are trying to learn the fight to join up in duty finder. The problem with this is that any tank that would struggle with this fight are probably still doing Titan.

So, the end result is a huge shortage of tanks in Duty Finder in general as the experienced ones avoid it and the newer ones are bottlenecked at Titan.

I see... Man, it sucks but im just gonna have to keep at it i guess :p At least i wont be lacking time to farm atmas, hehe

I'd join in. I want horsies so I never mind primal runs. But no one else seems to share my passion.

I'm on Lich so if you guys wouldn't mind a healer who's never done the fight before I'll gladly join
