So when FC housing came to us we seen horrific prices and I know myself as well as others put Gil into the FC chest for the purchase. Now I hope we don't see those same crazy prices when personal housing is released. Keep in mind Yoshi most of us have put our Gil into FC housing and are not über rich just because we are on a legacy server. Personal housing is one of the things I look forward to most as I will be able to do with it as I will and not have to share with anyone. One of the things I liked most about FFXI was being able to decorate my little house and would really like to be able to do so now. Our FC house is nice but not mine and not my personality, really no personality as they are keeping it plain for RP purposes which I am not into. So do make personal housing affordable please.

agree, player houses is the main reason iam resubbing, would be really annoying if it turns out i couldnt afford it because i didnt sell stuff on the auctionhouse on day 1 and made billions of gil like other players did. when i quit i had about 120k gil if that

Hopefully it isn't past 10mill because it's crazy that a personal housing would cost more than a small fc house 1-2mill
A lot ppl are hanging on to this game due to the proclaimed alternatives for endgame raiding, grinding etc.
If ppl r denied this unreasonably then of course they'll have no reasons left to stay till gold saucer or something similar comes out. -

dont put all your eggs in one basket. as a person who reeeealy wanted housing i made a FC back in Nov. finally got rank 6 and decided to buy a Small house because of the price and the thought of personal housing coming out. truth be told... its very meh imo. i assume for personal housing that the old small will be personal small, new small as personal medium and current medium as personal large. with that said, the current small is aggravating. the camera and you fight all the time while u try to decorate. not really a point to this but if you were like me and looking forward to housing.... find something else to look forward to for awhile.

In the Live letter Yoshi said the average player has about 2million Gil. So I would guess Personal Housing will be somewhere in the ball park of 2-5million Gil.

Between patch 2.1 - 2.2 I made about 100-200k, I've made 400k in 4 weeks of 2.2. 50k a week for 200 in challenge log. And another 200k in Dailies and roulettes.

They really need to make personal rooms available to people who aren't in FCs or just don't trust their FC to hold together long enough to bother. Maybe somewhere like Rising Stones, since it'd make sense a player could get a room there.
This is insanely stacked in favour towards healers and tanks, though. I was wondering where all that money was coming from until I noticed the absolutely ridiculous amount of gil I was being paid to do Duty Roulette. Filling a wanted role on a Guildhest Roulette may be the most profitable 5 minutes in the game right now.Quote:

I really don't understand how people have so much trouble making gil.
In the department of DoW/DoM jobs I only have Monk to play, and even without using any of my DoH/DoL classes I easily make 100k per week by running dailies only.
The reason I don't have much gil has more to do with my spending habbits than it has to do with my income, which I can easily boost up if I decide to go gathering and crafting for more than just my self-sustainablilty. -

500 myth items = 100k+ - 150k
Do that for a few hours and bam u can get 500k in a day.
During those runs greed all DL pieces and turn in every one you get (800+ gc seals )
Sell the philo mats and thats like another 2-5k per each philo item. -
