I want Cid's beard on my character

Cid's beard is the perfect beard style that I want for my character, except I can't find any combination of character customizations to achieve that look. I want to be a midlander Hyur but the fullest beard option has a disgusting shaved area on the cleft of the upper lip. Why did you model a full, great looking beard for the game but not make it usable by players?

The highlanders have a fuller beard option but it's also pretty gross looking where the mustache connects to the sideburns by length, not by fully connecting.

Is anyone else sorely disappointed in the beard options for our characters?

My male Miqo face only has an option for peach fuzz....bleh. while I would like more beards, I would still like some things to be exclusive to NPCs. Cid's beard kind of loses it's luster when you have thousands of people with that same beard. Or lots of people are weaing Minfilia's outfit. I feel some outfits or facial hair, or hair styles, should remain exclusive to the important NPCs.

Cid has a nice beard I agree. Then again, Cid is hot in general. <w<

There's nothing iconic or special about Cid's beard. It's just a normal, everyday beard. Sure I'd agree with you if it was something like Seneca Crane's beard from The Hunger Games, but it isn't. I'm not asking for his hair style or his wardrobe, I just want a beard that doesn't look like a shaggy monkey that connects my hairline all the way across my sideburns / chin line / lips.

I have an idea.. maybe there should be an event in game that triggers a quest where you get to fight Cid for his beard knowledge and when you win he gives in and teaches you his beardy ways.. we could call it “battle of the beard” or “knowledge is beard” or “secret of the beard” ;)

I am not sure why this game shouldn’t have more beards. I think in just about any game i have played that allows any kind of character customization beards have always not had a whole lot of options for guy characters.. and the options that are there are usually lack luster.. Actually options for guys in general tend to take a back seat.. kinda sad tbh.

I do not like the beard on Cid...I was used to him having none and then bam its Richard Branson :confused:

I'd like more options but I feel like even if I was given more options...I'm stuck the way I am. I've grown very attached to my Big Boss.

I agree, Cid's beard is very nice looking and we need to have more beard options. Not a lot of options to make your character look older besides Highlanders and Roegadyn
