Ouch... That's going to leave a dent in someone's pocket book...
I'm sorry. Are you saying there should be more zeroes?
Logically speaking, one of them had a missing zero according to market rates.
I know you want lesser zeros, but no lol.
I've sniped more than my fair share of mispriced items. I've had a few /tell and ask me if I could return them and I usually do if they ask nicely (have had a few nasty tells as well, as if it was my fault they mispriced). If someone doesn't care enough to double check their prices, they deserve it imo.
Wow.. do you camp the MB or you were just lucky to spot them?
I've never happen to snip any mispriced item, but to sell a mis-melded item lol.
Leveled a BLM for "funs" and crafted a i70 pants (back in 2.1) and melded lots of +9 ACC materias (it was really cheap back then and I got lucky with the overmelds) since I lacked ACC.
Then I realized.. f*** me I crafted the wrong one. I crafted Vanya Breeches of HEALING omg... So I tried my luck and placed it on MB and asked for 750,000 gil, which was way more than the cost of crafting and cost of materias.
And it was sold. I wonder if the buyer also mistook it for a casting pants lol.
I do stalk the few items I'm interested in, but mostly dumb luck. 50k bluebird was glorious.
Me too, I managed to get a dozen of mispriced materia before. It clearly show that people blindly undercut others, it went like this :
1100 -> 5-6 on the list by retainer A
1200 -> one from retainer B, tried to undercut retainer C but missing a zero
12500 -> retainer C
I don't camp the board for this, I always have something to sell everyday so when there's a misprice for the item I'm trying to sell I will rush to the board to buy it off and resell them. I just hope they don't get frustrated over their own mistake. :D
I've had this happen to me a couple of times too, but only once on a major item (cashmere healer robe). I find it pretty extreme that people would go to lengths and ask for you to return it, even worse with rage PMs lol.

(I was the person who sold at 56.4k)
I always double check when i buy myth items from people. I am always like "wait, I'm not about to give this guy 900k for a saurian skin, am I?"
It hurt a bit but I just let it go >.<
I did try to do a player search though so I could say congrats on the cheap buy, but they were offline even after a minute or two buying it.
I felt especially bad too considering the ones that sold before and after were NQ and sold for more than mine did
I have lost mios on mistake of this, I also made mios from other's mistakes....
Operation risk happens
The worst feeling is when you accidentally sell for low, and one of your competitors when updating their prices go buy it and resell under their retainers. This has happened to me on alchemist consumables and it peeved me greatly, especially since they are the type to constantly undercut by 1gil on everything you're trying to sell.
I've seen a lot of this on my server (shiva)
people have sold of all sorts at a lucky bargain rate, if you do get one and don't need it its like printing gil.
I've never been asked to return anything yet, but I can see why people would try and get it back.
That 'effin sucks.
Update: Just now I accidentally traded in Saurian Gloves of Striking to the GC vendor.......

lol couple weeks ago i got really lucky and picked up 3 schaelites for 168 gil, when next lowest price was 168k. i would have been nice guy if seller had sent me /tell but they never did.
The other day I paid 135 for an item that goes for 135,000. So I promptly /told them about it and gave it back. Seems incredibly childish to run off and go "yay me! imma winner and ur the loser!" when someone makes a mistake.
Put some battlecraft demi 3 up for sale, first or second on server, for 3m. Accidentally adjusted to 300k, sold. I had to lol. I t was never gonna go for 3m anyway but you don't get many bigger pricing errors than that.
Happened to me too, in both situations. Once I sold a vanya silk for a zero too little, asked nicely if I could buy it back at double that price, was ignored. The other time I sold a Spring Dress at a zero too little, asked nicely, and was actually given the Dress back in exchange for crafting them one in exchange for their own materials - very nice person, that one.
A few days ago I bought a polarized glass for 10k something.
SE has already done that. Now, it is 110% up to you to know how to use it. SE cannot help you if you do not want to know how to use available features. :p
LOL, same happened on my server, but on the shaded Specs, priced over 200K, one was sold for 20K. Polarized glass is priced at over 70K atm.
So probably should not say this, but i just managed to put something on the MB for 250k, which sold really quickly. Problem is i was meaning to put it up for 2.5 million :( That last zero, it can do a lot of damage for such a small number.
