I'd rather get a Shiva egi, DD: Or even a (wishful thinking) a behemoth for my smn.

On another note, I really dislike summonses in this game, your egi's are nothing compare t the primals, yet the enemy summonses can summon big bad monsters to fight for them, talk about unfair.

And Alexander is not happy with bahamut stealing his hundreds of lasers move. Alexander would be awesome in here

So true, summonses are so unbalanced in this game, and the fact that they share stats with SCH just makes it worse, you can't focus those point without hurting the other role. X-X they need to make it so you get to control the egi once summoned, with spandex abilities, now that'd be cool.


I can totally imagine a mini Alexander going around, like the one from FFIX

Yeah. I'd be sooo excited if they gave me. A mini IX Alexander, along as he remains awesome and castle-esk

If they do give smn a second tank pet I could see it being similar to yojimbo, without the zanmato

yes, their a small part of the primals power..i think anyways, but it doesnt

i was hoping one day they'd make them grow like aion summons but

The Egi justification, as stupid as it is, still doesn't explain why Summoner has more to do with throwing DoTs on a target than actually doing things with your Summon. It's just false advertisement when as it stands the summons of Summoner feel like a total afterthought tacked onto a class who instead somehow wound up as a DoT class with pets serving as an auto-attack.

Who said that I'm fine with the current SMN? I just said that it's called Egi for a reason to clarify that it shouldn't have to be the same as the actual Primal.

And Alexander? A Primal? I don't think so. No one's worshipping Alexander. So nope, not a Primal.

Just because we haven't seen anyone worshipping Alexander doesn't mean that he won't be in the game in some form. He could always be an Elder Primal ala Odin who doesn't seem to have any worshippers either or they could simply add his worshipers in a yet unseen area of Eorzea as part of an expansion.

Well ye, Alexander used to be a Summoned Avatar in XI, but seeing how the current Egis looks lame, I doubt it'll be the same like XI. But still, not a Primal.

Nobody worships Odin, or Behemoth, or Bahamut. They are still primals.

Are you expecting the summons to be like the esper's in FFXII? That would be too much graphics for the game to handle especially in high traffic zones where people pop a summon. It's fine the way it is. However I do wish that the limit break is like the primal's enrage. i.e. If you're using Ifrit and use a LB3 then Ifrit appears and does his Hellfire. Just some variety in QoL stuff.
