Remove Gathering Fatigue.

Is the removal of gathering fatigue also included in the removal of typical fatigue? Or is gathering fatigue still in the game?

If so, please remove this system (Gathering Fatigue). Being told by you, SE, how long I can gather is extremely frustrating and make one spiteful of the dev's.

If this is there to remove botters and cheats, you know your damn self that this isnt doing anything. So stop being naive looking and allow us legit players to gather how we choose and not in your 2hr on, 15hr off cycle that it is right now.

Thank you for the game, thank you for the effort in fixing it and thank you for the option to suggest things. Please take this suggestion to heart.

Granted, the SP penalty has nothing to do with economy, so they should remove that.

No, gathering fatigue is a separate system from surplus and is remaining as it is.

This at the very least this should be addressed.

Its there to prevent poor child exploit. Not letting them work/gather for 16 hours/day to sell mats for $ or gil to be sold at gold webpages.

I want to see SP restrictions gone as well. They can keep gathering fatigue for mats if they really need to, but it's not like botters or exploited children (or prisoners) will vanish or fall in numbers, sadly. Nor will it fix economy really.... People who bot as a job can easily do it on their alts and other accounts once fatigue kicks in, which I'm sure they don't need to be thought to, and voilà, excess mats on the market and battered economy all over again :/

Creating restrictions to avoid gold farming, child slavery and RMT is like putting up a tarp over a tent when a hurricane is going to come. Its not going to do anything but delay the inevitable moments longer.

In fact, if these restrictions are in game for the child slavery and RMT control, I propose that SE do the right thing and close this game down right now.

Its like SE is saying we stand for child slavery and RMT, but only for 2hr's, then you must give the slave 15hr's off.

Instead of limiting how much a single person can gather, they should limit how much the world of Eorzea can have harvested in a day to control the economy. So if we all went out and stripmined the place, resources would be exhausted and take a while to regenerate.

I was being a bit ironic back there. I wanted to show that what for some people is a limit for others could be a responsible gameplay. It could help delay RMT or even make it less profitable and every bit of effort on that matter is a good thing. Also it seems that SE is trying to make a balanced game not encouraging extreme hardcorers im not gonna say if thats good its their game and the should know what they want.

Nuinn you are assuming that having multiple chars is at the moment free but when they start charging for them its going to be expensive. That people would have to invest way more to get the same results, leveling 1 char to R40 and gather for 16 hours is easier that leveling 8 characters to R40 and gather 2 hours from each. So its a small discouraging method. Not gonna solve it but may help diminishing all that about excess mats and battered market.

Naylia what you suggest could make that ppl like me that only can play 1 hour a day enter to a world where we cant gather cause the hard gamers exhausted all the resources. How would that resources regenerate?

If its completely after X hours then we could see real long queues of people waiting for resource refresh with the complete exhaustion in a couple of hours. If its gradually a bit every hour could be interesting but still seems too advantageous to the people that stay lots of hours making a virtually nonstop gathering.

Yeah but.... RMT companies that invest money in XIV (buy the game and make multiple chars) easily have their investment pay for itself ten times the initial price. I don't think it really matters what SE does to them. They run multiple accounts, either sandboxed or on different machines, they turn on the bot and go afk and return every so often to rotate the characters once they hit gathering fatigue. It's almost effortless, for both cases - 1 char to 50 or multiple ones to 50. I don't know what a day of botting would net you in mats per char, but I'm quite ready to argue that it's fairly decent numbers that add up nicely toward economic instability. Granted, with fatigue it's a bit of a bigger hassle, but I still won't stop them in the short or long run. It does cripple the players who don't bot and have to suffer the restrictions manually.

What I'm saying is; It's a minor inconvenience for the RMT and a bigger one for actual players.
