I would be curious to see what percentage of the server population plays PvP at all. I for one have zero interest in it. I did the questline introducing it and haven't been back since.

I did it first day for the basic achievements and have not gone back.
I would guess a very, very small portion. I have seen exactly 1 person on my server even asking about PVP groups since 2.1.
I have literally never seen anyone posted pvp group in pf. No one in my fc has ever mentioned it either. I rarely even think about it myself.
Was never interested in it in FFXI. Still have no desire in FFXIV.
I played it recently for a while to get the Warwolf Spear for glamour.
After I bought it, I found out that it was a reskin of the Wyvern Spear from Stone Vigil. -.-
If I wanted PvP I'd go play an FPS game.
There's no incentive to do PvP and you can't even really do it for fun. Since very few people do it, the queue times are very long. The gear you get isn't even worth the grinding.
I just hope they don't start "forcing" people to do PvP. By that I mean making a item needed for Weapon/Armor upgrades cost Wolf Marks. Although it might be better than mindlessly doing FATES all day.
It's weird how PVP was added. It makes more sense in "two factions" type MMOs since the whole point is you are at war. Not in a case where everyone is working together to save the continent.
Never touched pvp, going to keep it like that.
The LSes that I am in not a single player pvps. You never hear anyone shout for PVP LS/FC. So I'm guessing the percentage of PVPers is around .00000001 percent or less. My FC were pvpers in DCUO but none of them enjoy it in FFXIV. It's just really bad.
I'm interested in well-implemented PvP.
So nah, I don't care about current FFXIV PvP.
I'm a bit interested because I want some of the pieces for vanity, but I heard about how unbalanced and poorly-implemented it is.
And that nobody pvps so queue times are extremely high. :\
I haven't touched it, haven't been there, and I don't plan to until i'm in the final stretch of getting the platinum trophy. Absolutely zero interest in it.
I enjoy the PvP. Haven't had too high of queue times. Mostly about 15-20 minutes. Interested to see the next form of PvP.
I was hoping the PvP to use the game characters/gears/environment but be more like different game, which is harder to develop but thinking it would of received more interest. If you ever played PlaystationHome which is just simple social MMO but you got these different mini-games. For XIV PvP have it like FPS like TitanFall for example where you can run, slash, cast spells, ride Magitech Armor, etc.
At same time I understand people like classic MMO PvP, personally don't care too much about it + waiting time is like hell right now lol.
Shrug, I have fun with it.
Even as a tank those are long ques.
What's the point again?
I would play pvp if there was massive battles like WvW in GW2.
I may take a look if they expand it beyond 4v4 arena stuff. I played it for a few hours, but it got dull real quick. I can understand why the little bit of PvP is all there is right now. They got a bunch of balance issues to work through before they can expand to bigger and better things.
As far as the question posed by the OP...My guess is less than 1% at this point.
Tried it a launch and it was just messy, other team just kept us slept and picked us off one by one lol
Not tried it since nor do I intend too, it's the only part of challenge log that will always stay incomplete each week
