We could just right click/press square on the target and click Beckon from the drop down list instead of going through the emotes/registering to the hotbar.
It'd be nice that on Levequests where we have to Beckon

I drag my emote to a hot bar for the duration of the quest. Soothe as well for those leves :P Just a suggestion.

Or type /beckon motion (so it doesn't spam the chat, I'm looking at YOU mass groups of people doing emote quests!) and just hit enter, press up to make the text pop up again and enter again
The thing I hate about those leves, it feels like back during release, the range of beckon used to be much further, now it's like 10 steps ahead of it :/ -

I understand the frustration. But it's really not that hard to have a macro made (yes, I read that part, but really?) and stick it to a hotbar that goes cross-class, like one that you have mounts or minions on, if you find yourself doing leves a lot, anyway.
Regardless, I do think the missions are annoying. With as many enemies that spawn, I feel like you have to kill more than most of the fight leves. Coming up on BLM I just slept everything that spawned to avoid it all. It is rather annoying to say the least. -
